Lanterns On The Lake Share New Track “When It All Comes True”

Of the track Lanterns On The Lake vocalist Hazel Wilde comments: “Sometimes when you write a song you are creating a world in the same way a film maker or an artist painting a scene would. This is a twisted coming-of-age love story where we’re let in on the thoughts of what seems like a deranged narrator with a premonition. They’ve been trying to warn everyone around them of what is to come but nobody takes them seriously. At the time I was writing this one there was a lot of awful stuff on the news about shootings in America and elsewhere and some of that seeped into the story. At the end our narrator promises: ‘through the empty streets in the searing heat I’ll keep my word for you, when the sirens cease and my pulse is weak I’ll keep my word for you’”.

Phantom Posse share “Changing” feat. Makonnen & Yohuna

Quote about the song:
“For ‘Changing’ – Makonnen came over to my apartment in Brooklyn..I had made some magic mushroom tea that evening and Makonnen and I have always worked really fast together.. he put down a few chords and before I could finish shaping up the groove he already had all the lyrics and song structure ready to record. We tracked everything in my bedroom. A couple weeks later I was working on the mix, adding little details here and there when Yohuna who’s bedroom was next to mine came home after a night out with friends around midnight. She poked her head into my room and was like ‘I have an idea for a counter melody!’ and we recorded her vocal then and there.” – Eric Littmann

Crisman share the hypnotic “Cya”

The melancholic and sinuous lead single “Surprise” pulls from childhood memories of wanting to be included and feeling misunderstood in order to lend its start-stop riffs an emotional touchstone. On “Cya,” the band employs acerbic distortion and twinkling arpeggios to explore the immaturity and inevitability of trying to forget a person or feeling that lingers far too long, where final single “Icee Blue” is about experiencing the infectiousness of a romance, a thematic reproduction of the song’s infectious composition.

Winnipeg-Based Electro-Pop Artist RIOTRON Premiering Lyric Video for Latest Single “There For You”

“The Lyric video for ‘There For You’ was inspired by the art of James R. Eads. He uses these huge cosmic metaphors to explore the idea of basic human connection,” Fettes says. “I wanted to try and explore those same ideas but through a kind of 1980’s sci-fi aesthetic.”

“There For You is about how thinking of the people we love can bring them to us any time we need them. It doesn’t have to be spiritual or metaphysical it’s just the power of our memories,” says Fettes. “When you can’t be with them physically, they can still be there for you across time and space. It sounds cosmic but it’s really kind of simple and comforting.”
