Speaking of the song, BARISHI comments: “‘Blood Aurora’ was one of the first songs we wrote and recorded for our new album ‘Old Smoke.’ The writing process felt very natural and fresh to us. The Men share new single ‘Breeze’, ‘Mercy’ LP out Feb. 14 on Sacred Bones

New York band The Men have always been genre-morphic and unpredictable, but on their eighth album Mercy they have truly done something new as a band. For the first time since forming, they have now created three straight records with the same lineup, and the result is a sound that feels developed and continuous despite running the gamut of mood, in true Men fashion. Having this lineup stability has allowed the band to deepen and finesse the sounds they were exploring on 2017’s Drift and produce tracks that have a unique and distinct voice.

Release day UK’s Victorias Flight release indie bop “Love Will Come Back”

This song was kind of an accident for us. We were in the studio in London and had some time to kill and that’s when Love Will Come Back happened, all in about half an hour and it was finished. We think it was fate because we had recorded our first two singles and needed a third to complete the trilogy and out came this. It’s not a classic all is lost, end of the world love long. It’s not a happily ever after but it’s the realisation of ok yeah that was good but the best is yet to come. So remember, Love Will Come Back.”

KAYZO and Atreyu collaborate on “Battle Drums”

On the collaboration, KAYZO shares, “I’ve gone into the studio with band members before, but this was the first time I’ve had the entire band there. I had a very simple idea that I brought to the table, and I remember Travis [Miguel] and I were sitting there for a while messing with the amp trying to come up with different riffs and such. When I hit that second break in the main riff, I was like, ‘Ah yeah, that’s it.’ The one-off single follows up KAYZO’s most recent album, Unleashed, released over the summer.
