Deeper announce new album and share first single ‘This Heat’

AEROSMITH & NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK – BOSTON’S BIGGEST BANDS ARE COMING HOME

Boston natives Aerosmith and New Kids on the Block are both set to play one night each for a historic weekend of Boston’s biggest music at famed Fenway Park. The hometown heroes will play Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2020 respectively. Tickets for Aerosmith go on-sale to the public on January 31st at 10am ET, with tickets for NKOTB on-sale to the public on January 31st at noon ET at livenation.com.

Citi is the official presale credit card for these shows. Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, January 28th at 10am ET for Aerosmith and noon ET for NKOTB through Citi Entertainment®.

PEACH PIT SHARE NEW SONG “SHAMPOO BOTTLES”

In speaking about the new single, Peach Pit’s lead-singer Neil Smith says: “‘Shampoo Bottles’ is a song about the stuff my ex-girlfriend left at my apartment after we broke up (deodorant, shampoo, cell phone charger) and how even after I’d used up all the soap in the bottle and the deodorant in the stick, I still didn’t throw them out for a while. The video, directed by our longtime collaborator Lester Lyons-Hookham, has four protagonists each mourning the end of something. It shows how coping with a loss can make you do weird things.”

The newest release from the Protocol Recordings camp comes from veterans Teamworx and debutant on the label MR.BLACK. Their collaboration “We Are Lost” rides high on minimalistic progressive melodies and a steadily grooving bassline, allowing the soulful and slightly ethereal vocals to add emotional meat to its sonic experience. Feeling just as at home played through your headphones, “We Are Lost” carries both radio and dancefloor appeal. The collaboration is the first between the Israeli artists; Teamworx is known for their collaborations with Nicky Romero and some high profile remixes. MR.BLACK has previously released on Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records, Musical Freedom, and Dharma and did an official remix for Tiësto’s “Boom.”

Swedish indie band PAPILLS goes California Surfin’ and hits Japan! New single out now!

COMEDIA and the Swedish indie band PAPILLS are proud to announce the release of the band’s brand new single California Surfin’. The single is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album Too Hot For May.

In Spring 2018 Papills was signed to the independent Swedish record label COMEDIA and released their first single Played. In 2019 it was followed by The Morning View and Happy Fish, which gained interest from the Osaka based independent label Rimeout Recordings in Japan. Last year Rimeout signed a licence deal and the label will release Papills’ album in Japan on April 22.
The album will then be released worldwide on all major digital music platforms on April 24.

Boston Ballet presents Carmen, an inspiring program dedicated to exploring and celebrating many facets of femininity with works by George Balanchine, Helen Pickett, and Jorma Elo. Carmen runs Mar 12–22 at the Citizens Bank Opera House.

“It’s an honor to present these works by such important choreographers, who all have ties to our Company. Balanchine played a vital role in establishing Boston Ballet, Pickett got her choreography career started here, and Elo is our resident choreographer,” said Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen. “I know the audience will be captivated by our dancers in this dynamic and diverse program.”
