SamadhiSitaram – Morgoth’s curse [Проклятие Моргота]

…it’s that beautiful day to close SamadhiSitaram Chapter 3 and move on! This album differs from the conceptuality of the previous two: “Cyber Harmony” and “Kali-Yuga Babalon”. To some extent, this is a completely new step. Without much pathos and far-fetchedness, we gave him the simplest name: “III”. Let the music speak for itself …

Hilary Woods announces sophomore LP ‘Birthmarks’ out March 13

Hilary Woods returns with her beautiful and harrowing sophomore album Birthmarks, out March 13th on Sacred Bones Records. Today she is sharing the self-directed music video for new single ‘Tongues of Wild Boar’. She had this to say of the track:

Slick, sultry and laden with sass, ‘Favours’ is the much-anticipated follow up to Millar’s 2018 debut album ‘Excuse Me’, which spawned the viral hit ‘Blindfolded’ (8 million+ combined streams) and ARIA Gold-accredited single ‘Tremble’ (11 million+ combined streams). Flanked by warped synths and Millar’s signature croons, ‘Favours’ is a slice of unapologetic pop savagery, and marks the debut of a bold new era.

Bullion announces upcoming EP and shares new song “Hula”

Today, Bullion shares new song “Hula” and announces EP We Had A Good Time, out 28th of February on his own label, DEEK Recordings.

In early 2018, Nathan Jenkins (Bullion) returned from the coast of Arrábida to his new home studio, in a cottage tucked behind the grand hotel setting of Wim Wenders’ Lisbon Story. Breaking for lunches under a Datura tree in the garden and a far cry from the Finsbury Park basement flat he rented the previous year, a set of recordings followed that galvanised into an E.P. – We Had A Good Time, music informed by out-of-town trips in a 1987 Renault 9 Super, impromptu car park hulas and solo cinema bliss.

new Mitski track for ‘The Turning Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’

The Turning Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is out this Friday, the same day as the film’s release and here’s the final single from singer-songwriter Mitski for “Cop Car”. Her first new music since the critically acclaimed album Be The Cowboy (2018) – “Cop Car” is a dark 90’s inspired track reminiscent of Pod Era Breeders meets PJ Harvey. On working with Mitski for the soundtrack producer Lawrence Rothman explains “There is a pinnacle scene where Kate’s mind starts to unravel while in her car and we needed a cinematic but / grunge influenced song shadowing the scene. I reached out to Mitski to see if she wanted to get involved as Floria and I had a feeling she would deliver a song that was guitar-based but cinematic . “Cop Car” went beyond what we imagined and we were ecstatic when she sent it to us!”

Bianca Casady introduces the new song: “Dear ones, we are excited to announce the release of another song from our upcoming album. Aloha Friday was written in my birthplace, the Big Island of Hawaii. It’s a melancholic special something for you all to enjoy.”
