Tony or Tony is the infectious NYC duo bringing a true freak energy back to pop. They approach songwriting with a childlike imagination, the mood drifting from prankster humor to introspection, earnest love songs and nightmare scenes. On the surface, the themes of their music are quite simple – songs about love and going to parties – but it quickly becomes disorienting as if in a dream or experimental movie – both of which very much inspire their craft.
Gabrielle Aplin has released the brand new song ‘Magic’, taken from her forthcoming new album Dear Happy out January 17th via AWAL and her own label Never Fade Records.
‘Magic’ is a beautiful pop song, which features bright electronics and chiming percussion as Gabrielle’s dreamy vocals reflect the benefits of cherished close relationships.
Rasstokyo aka. Tokyo The Producer is ready with his debut EP release called DARK WHITE. On Tokyo’s words ‘it sums up myself as a person (well almost), my mind is wild, I don’t have limits on the things I say, I’m an extrovert but nobody really knows me, my stories lay within the words that surface the sound’. Tokyo also wants everyone to realize that “idea is political it was more about taking a piss, to question peoples way of thinking. It’s not race thing. It’s about ethnic people exercising “white privilege.”
A newcomer to the post-classical and ambient worlds, yet fully formed as he arrives, Jim Wallis is no stranger to embracing musical crossover. A drummer in critically lauded indie bands Modern Nature (members of Ultimate Painting / Beak>) and Still Corners, Wallis is also a superb ambient artist in his own right, releasing his debut album on Tip Top Recordings on February 7th. Today 13th December, multi-faceted musician and actor Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries, Project Blue Book) unveils another dose of indie-laden Americana with ‘Shake The Shiver’, the second single from his upcoming second full-length album, ‘Graveracer’ due for release on 10th January 2020 via Cap on Kat/Kartel.
Following a meeting of minds at a recent London show together, the two artists have collaborated on the pulsating, glitch-tronica indebted remix we hear today.

Reworked with a scatter-gun electronic approach reminiscent of the creations of Fourtet or Thom Yorke, the harmonic structure of the original song is turned inside-out to create a dark, hypnotic and rhythmically driven remix. GARY CLARK JR. UNVEILS NEW VERSION OF “PEARL CADILLAC” FEATURING ANDRA DAY
Grammy-Award-winning artist Gary Clark Jr. releases a brand new version of “Pearl Cadillac” from his current Warner Records album, THIS LAND. The new mix single features additional vocals by fellow Warner artist and Grammy nominee Andra Day. Clark and Day became friends years ago after playing shows together. Both share a musical commonality which incorporates their disparate influences of soul, pop, blues, gospel and rock ‘n’ roll propelled by a strong positive energy which becomes something both new yet timeless.
