Anastasia Baast presents her debut single “Evaporate”
“Evaporate” is the debut single of Anastasia Baast, vocalist and Berklee graduate based in NYC.
The powerful track mixes electronic trance music with pop influences and classic vocals to create a mesmerizing soundscape, with the melody evoking sensations of wistfulness and dreams. “Evaporate” is a deeply meaningful track about Baast’s past fight with eating disorders and the confusion, fear, and difficulties that this brought into her life. The lyrics talk about the hardships that a person with a mental illness goes through from a first person’s point of view, highlighting the isolation and communication troubles that these ailments bring with them. The result is a beautiful song that truly comes alive with Baast’s style of singing.
Kerry Hart Releases “If This Burns’ from upcoming album I KNOW A GUN, out February 7, 2020
Hart will perform “If This Burns” along with other songs from I Know A Gun at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on December 14. Hart’s last track, a beautiful rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Secret Garden,” was called “stunning” by Forbes in a recent interview, while Folk Alley has praised Hart as well, saying “Very few artists make a first impression so indelible and wondrous that you know within seconds that they are truly special. In the past few years, Courtney Marie Andrews, Anna Tivel, and Dylan LeBlanc all cleared that bar and even raised it with succeeding efforts. Now comes Kerry Hart making a play of her own to join their ranks.” Hart’s streaming numbers continue to increase, as title track “I Know A Gun” surpasses one million views on YouTube.

Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) shares Uncut Gems Official Soundtrack
Lopatin’s score accompanies the action in Uncut Gems perfectly, a soundtrack just as thrilling as the film itself. Uncut Gems has received wide acclamation thus far-the New York Post called it “the best movie of Adam Sandler’s career,” and Sandler himself threatened retaliation (in the form of a third Grown Ups movie) if his performance does not win an Oscar for Best Actor. In addition to the praise for the film itself, the soundtrack has received rave recognition from the likes of Vanity Fair, IndieWire and Thrillist.
