SOFI TUKKER unveil music video for latest single, ‘Purple Hat’
SOFI TUKKER shares the music video for “Purple Hat.” The single is exemplary of what made the world fall in love with the duo and is a joyous paean to community and letting your freak flag fly complete with a monster riff and playfully adventurous production. “Purple Hat” was born out of SOFI TUKKER’s Animal Talk parties, so it only made sense to go back to where things started for the music video.
One of music’s best kept secrets, LA-based artist Zack Villere returns today with the second single from his upcoming album. ‘A Feeling’ is another taste of Villere’s endearing alt-pop music, featuring his signature relaxed vocals, layered for a mesmerising effect. The track undergoes major shifts from beginning to end, a lone snare drum providing the sole constant, with a soft piano and high-pitched synths adding extra gravitas to Villere’s message of affection.

Kasador – LISTEN/WATCH: “Waiting”
““Waiting,” from our debut album, Brood & Bloom, is a song that recognizes the reality of being a touring musician and the toll it takes on one’s personal relationships. It is a paradoxical situation because being in a band with some of your best friends and creating something you believe in is really fun; if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t be doing it. However, you have to push aside relationships in the pursuit of success in this career, and unfortunately sometimes you let people down by doing so.”

Citing a wide range of influences from Kacey Musgraves to The 1975 to Tyler, The Creator, lush guitars and cinematic textures bristle against Zach Taylor’s dynamic delivery, tapping into nostalgic whimsy and raw heartbreak. “’Puppy Dog’ is a song we wrote almost a year and a half ago. We’re finishing up the new album as we speak, but I wanted to build a little world around this song and let it stand on its own,” he says about the track. “It’s light hearted but still sincere. It’s hoping that person you’re into finally sees you as more than a friend. I also just wanted to have fun and dance at the shows with this one.” Be on the lookout for the premiere of the music video soon. Fans in Europe can catch Dreamer Boy on tour with Clairo through December 22 –
