Charli Adams shares stirring lead single ‘Backseat’
Drifting seamlessly into the alt-rock landscape, newcomer Charli Adams excels with stirring lead single Backseat, the first track lifted from debut EP Good At Being Young, out 31st January via Color Study (Haux, Henry Jamison, Rosie Carney).
Growing up around rural Alabama through broken homes and a conservative Christian family, Adams left her life there as a cheerleader at 17 and moved to Nashville to pursue music, setting about creating a wealth of material somewhat unbecoming of her adopted hometown.
THE HEMPOLICS RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE ‘FULL OF SURPRISES’
‘Full of Surprises’ is the first single from their forthcoming second album ‘Kiss, Cuddle & Torture: Volume 2’, planned for release in April 2020 on their own record label Zee Zee Records via Kartel Music Group, it has already gained support at radio from BBC 1Xtra’s David Rodigan, 6Music’s Steve Lamacq, Don Letts and 6Music Recommends.
Filmed in the dark, lost corners of London and directed by Blue Laybourne – known for directing videos for the likes of Maison Margiela X Highsnobiety, Puma and Novelist – the visuals complete the song’s lyrics and its story – perfectly depicting the band’s lead vocalist Nubiya Brandon’s past experience.
Though already embedded and acclaimed in today’s music culture, the sound of Pablo Nouvelle remains elusive to this day. Science meets Boom Bap with Wish Master & Baileys Brown on New Video
From the moon to his grandma’s living room, Wish Master’s new video for ‘Science’ is out of this world. Potent Funk’s Baileys Brown produced the mellow beat, which sounds like R2-D2 after a smoke-sesh wish Wish.
The spacey single is lifted from Wish Master’s fifteen-track LP Boom Bap To The Future. Previous release ‘The Waves Coming’ was premiered on Trench, and was supported by RWD and The Hype Magazine.
Naked Six release new single ‘Song Of The City’
British rock ‘n’ roll trio Naked Six have unveiled the video for their raucous new single ‘Song of the City’. The track is taken from their incredible debut album Lost Art of Conversation, set for release on March 6th 2020 via Silver Lining Music. The band have also announced a special run of UK dates in support of the album release, taking place in April 2020.

Newly Formed Pike & Sutton Team Up With Blues Traveler’s John Popper for “New Year’s Resolution”
Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton recently announced their new self-titled band project earlier this fall. Led by “hometown favorites” (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7 and will release their debut full-length Heart Is A Compass in early 2020. To close out the year, they’ve teamed up with Blues Traveler’s John Popper for a reimagined version of Otis Redding and Carla Thomas’ classic “New Year’s Resolution.”
