New single: Flour Flour ‘Three Eyes’ (explicit)

Berkeley-based Flour Flour is the alt-pop project of Brian Baughn. Originally from Idaho, Brian was inspired to quit a tech job in San Francisco to pursue writing about the themes of teenage reinvention and discovery that had begun appearing in his songs– and in doing so hoped to claim some of the same freedom teenagers must claim for themselves from their parents. The result was Flour Flour’s debut EP Dimension A, a playful look back at the comforts and limitations of home. Influences include Joni Mitchell, Aphex Twin, and Ariel Pink.

DARK BELOW Release Official Lyric Video for “Halo”

“The song was written really quickly, which is odd for us. There is stuff we’ve been messing around with for years that we can’t seem to make into something we really like, so it was nice to have Halo come together so easily.

We originally wrote the song in a different tuning and stopped playing it for a while after we went away from using multiple tunings for live shows. I couldn’t quite hit all of the notes when we played it in our usual tuning (drop C), so we changed the melody in the chorus a bit to accomodate that. I wasn’t sure it would work, but I think it ended up turning out better after the changes.” – DARK BELOW

Daniela Ion Track: Breath On Me

About this track…

Short meaning around Breathe On Me: When you reach the end of yourself and decide to create a whole new life, it all starts with the breath of creation. Breathe On Me as always came as a spontaneous song, “it took 15 mins to write”. It just flowed and I was very excited to show it to Leon Berger.
