Nada Surf announce new album ‘Never Not Together,’ share track
NEVER NOT TOGETHER sees Nada Surf – Matthew Caws, Daniel Lorca, Ira Elliot, and their longtime friend and collaborator, Louie Lino – continuing to pursue their humanistic vision of the world through hooky, catchy rock songs with sharply drawn, yet tenderly felt, lyrics. Recorded earlier this year at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, Wales, the wide-ranging collection revels in the group’s ability to evoke and reflect grand and intricately wrought emotions, whether through sweeping guitar solos or hushed-whisper vocals. Songs like the spectacular “Looking For You” and the shimmering mid-tempo “Just Wait” are empathetic, warm, and powerfully urgent, marked by Caws’ ongoing lyrical quest for 21st century love and connection.

There’s joy in finally being free from a painful situation, relief, laughter—even as it feels impossible to ever forget the pain or understand why that storm came through your life the way it did. And so, light on your feet, you dance with the memory instead. If you’re listening to this song and understand what I mean, know that I’m singing with you as we’re dancing in that swirling wind.” The video was directed by Brian Sokolowski and filmed in northern Quebec.

Fretland releases music video for debut single “Long Haul”
Snohomish, Washington based Fretland has just busted into the national music scene, but are already turning heads. The release of the official video for “Long Haul” is an intimate look of where Fretland comes from.
“Our video for Long Haul is a celebration of our hometown of Snohomish, Washington. When you have a special connection to the community that helped shape you, it’s a love and nostalgia that never really goes away. Watching our town come together to make this video happen was just another reminder of why we feel this way. Really that feeling of pride and history is what we were wanting to capture so that anyone who shares that love for a town or place can share in it with us. “Long Haul” is a song about capturing all that love for wherever, whatever and whomever it’s been inspired by and then sharing it with the world. It’s boastful, it’s shameless, and it goes on and on,” Hillary Grace told American Songwriter.
