Ahead of the upcoming 25th anniversary reissue of their iconic album Monster, R.E.M. have launched an interactive web experience which allows fans to A/B the 2019 remixed album against the remastered 1994 original by toggling between the two. Through the web application, fans can stream the advance singles “Let Me In” and “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” (logging in through their preferred streaming platform) and sample 30 seconds of each of the remaining album tracks. Starting on Monster 25 street date, November 1, all songs on the album will be available to play in their entirety.

Tuesday, October 29, 2019 – Today, Pixies – Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and Paz Lenchantin – unveil a brand new music video for the song “Long Rider” from the band’s new album Beneath The Eyrie (BMG/Infectious). Presented in a surreal, dream-like fashion, the video takes its cue from the tragic death of Desiree, an ardent surfer and close friend of Lenchantin’s whose final wave claimed her life a couple of years ago. Said Lenchantin, “It was almost as if Desiree had this dream before she went surfing that morning, and hints at that even if she had known her fate, she would still have taken that wave.”
