“There’s a world of plink and ping in the songs of Mura Masa…He’s a denizen of an interconnected planet, with… a world of instruments and sounds to draw on, and a confident craftsman’s sense of what to include and what to leave out. His songs also understand that no system can contain or predict the vagaries of the human heart” —The New York Times
“[Mura Masa]’s sonic and visual output feels like an homage to a young, queer, diverse London that we’d all like to believe is the future.” —Interview
Arizona O’Neill, who directed the video, says, “Everyone who hears this song relates to it profoundly in one way or another. It morphs for each person, depending on their personal experiences. I wanted to capture the raw emotions of the song by stripping away all gimmicks and filming Patrick singing on our city’s public pianos. It was important to film in Montreal because he is from the city and is so beloved here. Patrick has an amazing stage presence and to be able to capture that I had to get him in front of a real audience. This way I could also capture the happy, sad, and nostalgic feelings that the song evokes through the eyes of listeners. My favorite part of the video, however, was filming Patrick on an enormous swan paddle boat in the middle of the canal.”

Out November 1, Cummings describes the album as “a collection of thoughts from nowhere, placed in the trees, in the sky and sun.”
Recorded in just eleven days at The Distillery, Wiltshire, Kind was co-produced by Kelly Jones and George Drakoulias (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Screaming Trees, Primal Scream). The recording sessions used minimal studio techniques, overdubs or technology. This stripped back, raw approach to committing Kelly Jones’ songwriting to tape provides listeners with captivating and candid snapshots of one of the UK’s most enduring bands. The performances are led by Jones’ distinct and emotive vocals that reveal a raw vulnerability not yet heard. The results are an honest and hopeful album for our times, and an album that stands shoulder to shoulder with the band’s best work.

NY’s The Stash Drop New Single “Give It Time”
Vocalist Christian Evanko says, “Give It Time is a song simply put about music, and the impact its made on my life. Music is by far the most important thing I have outside of family and friends, and prior to writing this song I had been wondering how to express that. Nothing is perfect, and often times things don’t go exactly as planned but the one constant that has always remained for me has been a love, and passion to continue to create music. “An energizing and effervescent introduction, Sawyer’s EP, Less Than More Than, is a buoyant record glistening with guitar-driven indie pop prowess,” Atwood Magazine’s Mitch Mosk wrote. “With a bright, enthusiastic pop sound similar to HAIM, COIN, The Aces, and Your Smith, Sawyer’s music is melodic, rich in harmony, and unapologetically smart… Like a massive puzzle piece full of different shapes and colors, the EP fits disparate motifs together under one slickly cohesive roof. Sometimes the pair bask in the fuzzy feelings of an intimate crush; at other moments, they’re on the front lines of gender inequality fights, asserting themselves in a blaze of hot pop glory.”

This record is my internal dialogue from the last two years trying to find meaning while loving someone the best I could. This record is about commitment.”
