At the end of this final track, a refrain leaves the story open for interpretation. Do we strike off on our own, returning to the beginning of the narrative, or do we continue into the unknown? As the parting words “I wanted to, I wanted to…” swirl into emptiness, the story floats into 1000 possibilities.”

Ursae is a Brooklyn-via-Bay Area indie-pop project by artist/singer Andy Campbell. Campbell’s earnest songwriting, coupled with his experience as a producer, results in a left-of-center pop sound that blends DIY guitars with glittery synths and rolling 808s. The arrangements are meticulous and clean but far from sterile, tactfully walking the line between RnB-pop and indie-rock. Ursae, Latin for “bears” (of which Andy is enamored), wants to be as direct as possible with his message; to Andy, it’s all about efficient storytelling. Ursae confidently turns out something refreshingly honest: pop that comes from someone who isn’t a perfect pop star.

Thousands Around the World Protest Instagram to Make #EveryBODYVisible on October 29 International Internet Day
On October 29, International Internet Day 2019, a joint coalition of activists from around the world will protest censorship on social media platforms under the hashtag banner EveryBodyVisible. #EveryBODYVisible is an online campaign specifically highlighting Instagram’s censorship of women, the LGTBQ+ community, People of Color, pole dancers, sex workers, photographers, models, artists, feminists, yogis, fitness athletes and other marginalized interest groups. The team is encouraging everyone who has experienced unfair artistic censorship, to join the campaign with three simple steps on October 29.

Eyedress – “I Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend”
Eyedress is the alias of Filipino artist Idris Vicuña, formerly lead guitarist of psychedelic indie/noise-pop band Bee Eyes. Born in 1990 in the city of Makati, Philippines, Vicuña relocated to the US with his family at the age of 6. He was raised in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to San Clemente, California at the age of 13, where he started playing bass in a Crass-influenced crust-punk band.
In 2005, Vicuña moved back to Manila – He released his first solo record entitled Hearing Colors in 2013. Well received by music blogs, it led to him signing his first record deal with XL Recordings imprint Abeano. He followed up in 2016 with his second full length, Shapeshifter. The title track featured King Krule under his Edgar The Breathtaker alias.

Paralanguage was inspired by Will Samson’s first – and only – experiments with psilocybin. For some time, following the death of his father in 2012, the British musician had suffered from mild PTSD, unable to process the grief provoked by the sudden nature of his passing, but it took him several years before he felt confident enough to explore the possibilities this popular compound was said to offer. Finally, he and his girlfriend retreated to the countryside for a day, and Paralanguage seeks to emulate that experience.

SF Blues Rockers KINGSBOROUGH Share Stylish & Swaggering New Video “Only Light”
Before embarking on their second tour to Europe in early March 2020, rockers Kingsborough of San Francisco consisting of frontman, Billy Kingsborough and lead guitarist Alex Leach, will release a new single and official music video, “Only Light,” on October 25 off their upcoming EP release “Take The Ride”. Produced by Kingsborough and noted Bay Area songwriter/guitarist John Courage, “Only Light” is a blistering, mid-tempo bluesy jam that adds considerable weight to the band’s sound in comparison to their last album, 1544, which No Depression described as “laced with a vintage elegance.” With Courage on bass and Steve Twomey on drums, “Only Light” carries on with hard-hitting tones and captivating vocals that flow throughout the song.

UK artist GRIFF has dropped her new track, “Paradise,” (Warner Records) from her forthcoming debut EP, which also includes acclaimed debut single “Mirror Talk” – which received its first play on BBC’s Radio 1 days after Griff’s final exams – and the self-produced “Didn’t Break It Enough.”
“Paradise” strips back influences of electronic music, soul and R&B to its rawest essentials, allowing Griff’s remarkably elastic voice to shine through. “I wrote ‘Paradise’ in one of my first ever writing sessions two years ago,” she recalls. “I remember saying I wanted to write about something other than relationships and love and out came ‘Paradise.’”
