Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Debut Latest Single “King Kong” With Rolling Stone Country // Music Video Directed By Jay Blakesberg

“I remember sharing a laugh over our collective stank face when we first laid down this punchy groove at band practice,” Pigeons’ singer-guitarist Greg Ormont reminisced with Rolling Stone Country. “We quickly fleshed out some parts and gave it a metaphorical exclamation point when we screamed ‘King Kong’ to match our intense energy.”

SINGER-SONGWRITER JERRY LEGER DROPS NEW SINGLE TODAY | NEW LP OUT NOV. 8TH

Jerry Leger has a thing for ghosts. The Toronto singer/songwriter confirmed it a couple of years ago when he went on a personal journey to explore many of Ontario’s largely unknown ghost towns, having been inspired by the writings of historian Ron Brown. Leger has immortalized one of those towns, Burchell Lake, on his new album Time Out For Tomorrow, containing 10 portraits of the impermanence of life, love, or simply catching a glimpse of a shooting star.

Yet, other ghosts reside much deeper in Leger’s songs. Whether they’re the voices of Roy Orbison, Lou Reed, Gene Clark, Rick Danko or Ronnie Lane, they naturally complement the universal truths at the core of Jerry Leger’s music, along with his undying faith in rock ‘n roll as a way for all people to find common ground.

The moniker of Mexico City native Nacho Cano, who’s made a name for himself with dreamy pop layered with bright synths, smooth vocals and saxophone flourishes. It recalls the moody, beautifully saturated music of artists like Blood Orange and Solange. His latest single, “Clavo Saca Clavo”, is his second since an accident nearly stole his life.

THE BEDROOM WITCH: LA based Iranian American dark-pop artist’s new album ‘Diaspora’ out now

The Bedroom Witch, a dark pop project of Los Angeles-based recording and performance artist Sepehr Mashiahof, has recently released Diaspora, a story-telling concept album and the fifth LP in her discography. As a musician and as a video and performance artist, the Bedroom Witch casts herself as the misunderstood maker of the veil, lyrically chanting spells that fabricate parallel worlds through dark, synth-based songs, video projection and choreography. In the melancholy of the new album’s narrative, each song weaves together messages from ultra-dimensional entities that describe a way to overcome the core struggle in the first-generation immigrants’ experience—alienation in a new world. Recorded and mixed by Mashiahof and released by Psychic Eye Records, Diaspora investigates the Bedroom Witch’s origin story as an Iranian-American Trans Woman.

The single is accompanied by a video shot in and around Harlow, Donovan’s hometown. “It’s the area I grew up and still live in,” he explains. “Harlow is a place very close to my heart and the video shows me driving around the town reminiscing about the past and growing up there.” The track was written in Devon whilst Donovan was on a trip with some close friends. “We ended up using most of the demo from that day as it captured so much of what I wanted to say.”
