Her latest album, Eastern Bound For Glory, is inspired by her life on the road, experiencing the emotional rollercoaster of being an internationally touring musician. Intriguingly, it’s an aesthetic departure from her previous work in that the record explores bold indie rock instrumentation and vibey spaghetti western atmospherics. Today, the self-taught singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist known as BAD CHILD unveils the cinematic music video for “Pretty Girls”, the latest single from his debut EP Sign Up which was released in August through 21 Entertainment and Universal Music Canada alongside Capitol Records stateside and Virgin Records in the UK.


The New Jersey-based trio performs in a sparse room flanked by white sheets hanging from the ceiling. Between an electronic beat and glistening neon synths, the hook immediately rings out, “Where you are…I just wanna be.” As this retro sonic backdrop shimmers, an interpretative dancer twists and turns through the sheets, paralleling the ebb and flow of the song in live motion. It offers a gorgeous visual companion to the tune.

CATHOLIC ACTION share video for new single One Of Us

The SAY Award-nominated Glasgow quartet Catholic Action emerged last week with their first new music in almost two years – One Of Us. Debuted by John Kennedy’s X-Posure show on Radio X, it picked up a wealth of further support from the likes of Jack Saunders on Radio 1, NME, DIY, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Dork and the Independent – as well as additions on Spotify playlists including New Music Friday and The Indie List. L.A.-based artist/producer Gryffin has shared the latest single from his forthcoming album Gravity: a full-hearted and feel-good track titled “Body Back,” featuring Swedish singer/songwriter Maia Wright. The highly anticipated full-length debut from Gryffin, Gravity will be released via Darkroom/Geffen Records on October 24th.

It’s been almost three years since Alice Merton released her debut single ‘No Roots’ and she’s already accomplished more than many artists achieve in an entire career. Joya Mooi releases visual for album single ‘Been Here’

The vintage-styled video for ‘Been Here’ draws on a hazy, nostalgic vibe that ideally complements the track’s theme of recurring life events, such as relationships gone wrong and cycles in addiction. Produced by Blazehoven and released as a single last month, the track sees Joya draw on her trademark emotionally-charged sound.


It is two years since Filipina singer Red Tan tragically lost her husband to the dengue virus, a mosquito-borne condition which is now reaching epidemic proportions across Asia. Still trying to come to terms with this sudden and tragic loss, Red released ‘Don’t Let Go’ on 20th September, a tribute to her husband in which she attempts to put into words her feelings at losing the man she loved, begging him to come back and explaining that there is nothing she wouldn’t do to get him to stay. Dark and haunting and underpinned by genuine emotion and grief, Don’t Let Go is nevertheless a beautiful track, with Red’s crystalline vocals resonating with anyone who has gone through the grieving process.

Darkwave duo SKEMER shares ‘Rhoeas’ single from upcoming LP on AVANT! Records

Belgian darkwave duo Skemer is a brand new cooperation between singer Kim Peers, who’s also a model for Vogue, Steven Meisel, Prada etc and guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove of post-metal band Amenra and his personal project Syndrome.
