Fiji (AKA George Veikoso ) is one of the most dynamic entertainers the Pacific Rim has produced, and continues to be one of the most influential artists in contemporary Island Reggae music.
Since leaving his Fijian island homeland and settling in Hawaii at the age of 14, Fiji’s golden voice and expansive musical repertoire have launched him onto the world stage as a pioneer of the Island Music. Fiji’s musical outputs has earned him numerous industry accolades and awards, from his album debut “Evolution” (1994) to “Fiji EP” (2010), including Hawaii’s Na’Hoku Hanohano Award for “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Favorite Entertainer of the Year” and “People’s Choice Award.” His collaboration on the “Island Warriors” compilation album earned a Grammy-nomination for Best Reggae Album, an accomplishment that only a few Hawaii-based artists have achieved.

“Come & Seek” – LIA
LIA’s thoughts on the new track:
This is a song for empowerment and self discovery. It’s the culmination of my strength after years of self-disrespect through energy-sucking relationships. The imagery of “coming to seek” communicates the confidence and bravery I found in myself throughout the time period that I worked on this EP. Not being afraid to talk about my feelings, not being shy to go after what I want and knowing the kind of relationships I deserve are some of the struggles I had to overcome. This song is a celebration of me finding my way to womanhood and because of that, opening my arms to love.
Lou Roy | Songwriter explores the netherworld between beauty + horror
The single announces Lou’s debut EP Your Friend, out Nov. 15 via Sony Masterworks. Your Friend, – co-produced by Sam Wilkes – grapples with shortcomings as a friend or lover, and revels in the beauty of good times. Blending contemporary folk with traces of jazz and pop music, soaring guitar and pedal steel with honey-sweet vocals could fool listeners into a comfortable lull, if not for biting lyrics and cutting arrangements. The EP exists in a netherworld between beauty and horror, often mistaking one for the other.
