JOHN THE BLIND SHARES “BOTTLE OF PILLS”
John The Blind marks the latest solo endeavor by songwriter/producer John Henry Ryan II – continuing today with the release of “Bottle of Pills,” available now via Atlantic Records. The self-penned and produced track follows last month’s release of “The Running,” both showcasing a new side to the multi-faceted singer-songwriter. Dan Luke and The Raid have released their debut album, Out of the Blue, today via New West Records. The 10-song set was produced by Bradley Shultz of Cage the Elephant, engineered by Jeremy Ferguson at Battle Tapes Recording in Nashville, TN and mixed by Ben Baptie (U2, Mark Ronson, The Growlers). From their appearance at Bonnaroo in 2018, Rolling Stone has already called the Bowling Green, KY-based outfit a “fully-formed-on-arrival band,” saying they “have a brand of garage-surf-meets-Floyd psychedelia that’s all its own.” Entertainment Weekly has also stated, “The group’s clangy music feels somehow both retro and futuristic,” comparing them to “The Beatles at their “Helter Skelter”-heaviest.”
Tiffany Young Releases Dark New Club Anthem, “Run For Your Life”
Tiffany Young aims to win, and empower, with the release of her video for “Run For Your Life,” after a slew of teasers across her social accounts. Fans went into a frenzy when the artist revealed her new look; black hair and edgier styling. Tiffany speaks on the Fernando Garibay [Lady Gaga] produced track, stating “This song is a mood from the deepest darkest part of my subconscious, where survival mode switches on & I run and fight and shine knowing this is worth LIVING for. Every hurdle sparks the fire inside me. This song is the ambition inside you, where you will do anything you can & run towards it like your life depends on it.”
Jennifer Hope makes her Rhino Records debut as the singer-songwriter puts her own dark twist on Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With The Devil.”
Guitarist Eddie Van Halen – who played on the original – is an early fan. “When I heard Jennifer’s ‘trailer remix’ version, I was blown away. It is a very powerful, unique approach, and I couldn’t have done better myself!”
“I was inspired to create and record my version of ‘RWTD’ because I knew it would challenge me in new ways,” says Jennifer Hope. “I re-imagined the song with a mood and vibe that is significantly unlike the original. Continuing to evolve artistically is an important factor in my creative process, along with expressing the message within the song.”
‘Giants of All Sizes’ was recorded at Hamburg’s Clouds Hill Studio, The Dairy in Brixton, 604 Studios in Vancouver and Blueprint Studios in Salford, with additional recording taking place at various band member’s home studios in Manchester. Lead singer and lyricist Guy Garvey describes the album as “an angry, old blue lament which finds its salvation in family, friends, the band and new life.” It is a record that lyrically takes in moments of deep personal loss whilst reflecting its times by confronting head-on, the specters of injustice and division not just in the UK but across the world. It is a record that could only have been made in the 21st Century.
Genre-blending, alt-pop/rock artist, Yoshi Flower shares new song today. “Addicted” is the latest to come from Flower since his track “Rolling Thunder,” which followed his summer mixtape Peer Pleasure. The mixtape, described by Rolling Stone as the “perfect album” for a “smooth summer soundtrack,” revolved around the question “what are things that would make me [Yoshi] happy?” Some of his choices included love, coffee, and space, all which are titles of tracks from the tape. While pushing out music Yoshi also played countless amount of shows including headlining dates, opening spots for artist such as Dua Lipa, Elohim, and Epik High, as well as secured slots at major festivals including SXSW, Lollapalooza, and Made in America.

Kidd Kenn, openly gay 16-year old Southside Chicago rapper, is confident as ever in his new track “Babysitter.” His wit and moxie, apparent in his lyrics, tie with a superbly catchy beat, making for a fun party bop. Lil Nas X has already shown the new song love, calling it a “hit.” The new music video matches the song’s playful energy, showing Kidd Kenn throwing a party against his mother’s direct orders.
