ATLAS RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘AIKA’
ATLAS have released a new single called “Aika”. The track also includes a video on YouTube, which continues the story of the first single “Veli”.
The hard edge of “Veli” is also continued in this track, but loosened up by clean parts of the vocals. The voice of bassist Leevi Luoto stands out as a counterpart to Patrik Nuorteva’s deathcore-like growling and shouting.

The Down ‘n’ Outz project was born in 2009 when Mott The Hoople reformed and asked long-time friend and fan Joe Elliott to get involved. Joe formed Down ‘n’ Outz with Paul Guerin, Guy Griffin, Keith Weir and Phil Martini. Together they looked to bring songs by Mott The Hoople and spin off projects of Mott, Ian Hunter and British Lions to a wider audience. In 2009, Down ‘n’ Outz supported Mott The Hoople at one of the band’s five Hammersmith Apollo shows. Fan interest led the band to put together an album and in 2011, they released the critically acclaimed debut My Re-Generation through Mailboat Records (Joe Perry, Walter Becker, Chris Isaak, Jeff Bridges). My Re-Generation included the singles “England Rocks” and “Overnight Angels,” that reached No. 4 and No. 1 respectively on the US Media Base Rock chart – keeping Eric Clapton’s new single off the top of the chart for 2 weeks. The band released a live DVD taken from those initial shows called “Live at Hammersmith Apollo.” A second studio album The Further Adventures of… was released in 2014 featuring the single “Rock and Roll Queen.” New bassist Share Ross (Vixen) debuted on 2017’s live album and DVD The Further Live Adventures Of…
Lil GotIt Lets His Music Do His Talking in His Latest Video
The most unpredictable young rapper in the new trap scene, Atlanta’s Lil GotIt specializes in warped, percolating party music. Hosting a function with a few of his cohorts, GotIt shares “No Talking,” his latest video. A stomping trap anthem with whimsical pan flute, “No Talking” finds GotIt pushing the limits of his off-kilter flow, even dropping into an ASMR-friendly whisper for part of his first verse. The video finds GotIt, guest rapper SlimeBall YaYo, and a few associates turning up in a white-walled ATL abode, as they tote guns and dance on tables. Premiered by The FADER, “No Talking” is a highlight from The Real GOAT, GotIt’s surprise September mixtape.

Strung together by the dark, alluring vocals of French-Canadian artist C.A.R., ‘Teenage Fantasy’ combines sparse, synth-driven cold wave with the kind of Middle Eastern electronic elements that have become synonymous with Disco Halal. I was chilling in my hotel room and this ⅞ groove came into my head and I just thought about Japanese Kamikaze pilots and Pearl Harbor and it just made think; what would or what does it take for a human to conjure the thought of being a suicide pilot ya know?” says Paul Wandtke.
Experimental noise/post-punk duo Djunah + Skope
Djunah is an unrelentingly fierce duo out Chicago that’s somewhat of a Midwest supergroup, composed of Donna Diane (ex-frontwoman of Beat Drun Juel) and drummer Nick Smalkowski, a veteran heavy hitter from acclaimed acts like Arctic Sleep and Fake Limbs. The duo recorded Ex Voto with Kurt Ballou from Converge at God City Studio and had it mastered by the great Bob Weston. Known for her raw, aggressive performance style, Donna pulls triple duty in this noisey power duo, simultaneously playing guitar, singing, and pulverizing on a massive-sounding Moog bass organ with her feet.
