Guillermo Portabeles’ “El Carretero” lyric video premieres

World Circuit Records is reissuing El Carretero, the definitive collection of Guillermo Portabales’ classic ’60s recordings, on October 4. Originally compiled and released in 1996, it is now remastered and available on vinyl for the first time, alongside new CD & digital formats.

The Cold Army took charge upon the release of “The Things We Can’t Stop”, boosting animpressive first week debut on the Billboard charts. The album landed at #34 on the Top Albums chart, as well as within the top 15 on the Rock, Hard Music, Alternative and Independent Album Charts!


Directed by Simon Taylor, the clip for “Loves Missing” was shot on location at Sweat Records in Miami with a special appearance by Ale Campos from Las Nubes, Miami. Like the song itself, the “Loves Missing” video reveals another dimension of what it means to be Free, putting a visual face to raw emotions laid bare via close-ups of Iggy intoning, “She’s thinking about something we all need/All need/Clock’s ticking, not giving her room to breathe/To breathe/Loves screaming/Loves missing/Loves screaming, so quietly and in pain/Loves absent, it’s failing her once again, again.”


Lxandra is a fresh-faced 21-year-old living in Berlin with a record deal under her belt. Her passion for singing started from a young age, and her visit to Finnish producer Perttu Kurttila in Berlin in early 2015 was a turning point in her life. “We wrote a few songs together, including my first single ‘Flicker’. After that, I knew it was something I wanted to do forever”, she explains. Lxandra is a self-assured young woman who knows exactly what she wants and this is clear from her art. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from her outfits to the visuals of her videos. In her songs, she combines electronic influences with classical piano, while powerful choruses meet atmospheric, gentle sounds. The indie musician recently caused a stir with her gentle piano ballad ‘Hush Hush Baby’, a song that was originally a birthday present for her mother. Her debut single ‘Flicker’, which was released in early 2017, has nearly reached the 1 million mark on Spotify and her follow up single ‘Dig Deep’ has surpassed the 4 million mark. Right now, Lxandra is working on her debut album, which will be released by the end of this year.
