WHITE WARD: Invisible Oranges Streams Love Exchange Failure Full-Length From Ukrainian Post-Black Metal Collective In Its Entirety

“They’re like a warm death blanket; the blasting black metal is the hammering of nails into our collective coffin. The saxophone kisses us goodbye with the moist finality of authenticity as all that is real dies and all that is fake takes over. WHITE WARD teaches us that mechanized hate leads only to untruth…” — Invisible Oranges

The album name is a homage to some of the venues they’ve played throughout the years in NYC – Baby’s All Right, Gold Sounds, Death By Audio, Shea Stadium – 1/2 of the venues have since shut doors, sadly.

New > S-Type > shares “Waiting” video > watch here > LuckyMe

Today, S-Type shares the music video for ‘Waiting’, directed by Adi Halfin. Based on the photo series “Loose Ends” by award winning photographer Si Wachsmann, this film follows a group of boys on an adventure in the rough neighbourhood of Marzahn-Berlin, as they escape their harsh reality to a place where boys can be boys. Halfin effortlessly keeps the feel of the photo series, as she lets the boys give us a glimpse into their emotional world through powerful portraits. She adds her signature touch of movement in surreal moments where the boys break into unexpected dream like dance. Si Wachsmann’s cinematography gives a sweeping beautiful aesthetic to this otherwise harsh world.

24-Bit Goldn: 24kGoldn Goes Fully Digital in a Gaming-Inspired Video

Wielding a powerfully raspy singing voice and an uncommon pen game, 24kGoldn deserves your attention. Traveling through cyberspace on a quest for connection, Goldn shares “Games On Your Phone,” his latest video. Produced by D.A. Doman, with guitar production from Omer Fedi, “Games On Your Phone” is a fable of modern romance–Goldn addresses his crush who is too distracted, or malicious, to give him the time of day. In the video, which features animation from Sam Hochman, Max Renn, and Mike Manor, Goldn pursues his girlfriend across several digital realms, ranging from an 8-bit arcade, to a technicolor and surreal Japanese futurescape, to an uncannily realistic world with modern video game graphics. At the end of the clip, Goldn finally gets a message from his woman about her intentions–but he might not like what he hears.

“It’s a special kind of magic when two voices meet and immediately sound like they’ve never been apart. The voices of acoustic duo Rachael & Vilray are magical enough on their own, but when they blend in song the results are utterly sublime.” —Chronogram

Iconic JOSIE COTTON Unearths “Everything Is Oh Yeah “

“While looking for material to use for [the Netflix series] Stranger Things from the mid-80’s for my publishing company, we found the long lost tapes for a record I never put out” says legendary and iconic singer/songwriter Josie Cotton about her soon to be released album (release date: October 4, 2019 via Kitten Robot / Cleopatra Records). “They turned up in these leaky rafters of our studio and the last one in my old producer’s storage facility. They were in pretty rough shape and had to be baked for a couple of days, but when we finally listened it was incredible to go back in time like that.” It’s surreptitious that a Netflix series that recalls a bygone era would rediscover such a gorgeously fun album that was literally buried away, but like the popular series which genuinely honors the ’80s, Everything Is Oh Yeah is an actual piece of nostalgia that is experiencing a rebirth.
