Bob Mould kicks off solo electric tour, announces Buzzcocks cover release

Fresh off the prestigious TOdays Festival in Torino and a homecoming show to open the weeklong RadioEins Festival in Berlin, Bob Mould kicks off a three week solo electric tour of the United States on September 11 in Cleveland, OH. The tour – with Will Johnson (formerly of Centro-Matic) as special support for all solo dates – continues until September 28 in Annapolis, MD. Tickets are available now at bobmould.com/#tour.

SUSS announces a blissful new full-length High Line + live shows

High Line represents a new path into the high country for the NYC ambient country quintet known as SUSS. The follow-up release to their acclaimed album Ghost Box (Expanded) on Northern Spy Records, High Line explores the horizon line where the cosmic meets the landscape of the American West. Drawing on influences such as Ry Cooder and Bruce Langhorne while forging new paths alongside fellow travelers like Daniel Lanois and Boards of Canada, SUSS uses a combination of acoustic guitars, pedal steel, harmonica, mandolin and synthesized sound manipulation to take the listener on a blissful and mythic trip into the unknown.

Homeboy Sandman “Far Out” (Free Single + Album Announcement)

At the beginning of the summer your favorite lyricist announced his signing to Mello Music Group. Now, as the summer is coming to an end, Homeboy Sandman is ready to officially announce his debut Mello album Dusty. REESE LAFLARE DROPS NEW VIDEO

Reese LAFLARE just dropped the video for his song “Lil Skate For President” featured on his two-track EP Lil Skate For President via LAFLARE Records/Empire Records. In the video, LAFLARE is president and rapping to press in the newsroom from behind his podium. Reese has received cosigns from Drake, Pusha T, J, Cole, Gucci Mane, etc., a partnership in StockX and was recently featured on Revenge of the Dreamers III. The rapper is one to keep an eye on.

Jessica Pavone Releases New Music Video and Single ” Hurtle and Hurdle”

This album celebrates the first release from Jessica Pavone’s newest incarnation for string ensemble, which features two violins and two violas. Brick and Mortar, to be released on Birdwatcher Records on October 4th, 2019, is her first body of string ensemble music since pausing to focus on writing for solo viola for the last six years. Her earlier work for string quartet, which substituted a second violin for double bass was documented on her 2009 and 2012 releases from the Tzadik label; Songs of Synastry and Solitude and Hope Dawson is Missing, highlighted melody, narrative, and themes of undeniable truths. Upon completion, Pavone focused primarily on creating a new and unique voice on her instrument with her solo music resulting in three releases for solo viola; Knuckle Under, Silent Spills and In the Action. Pavone returned to composing for string ensembles in the spring of 2017 by forming the J.Pavone String Ensemble as an extension of the sonic discoveries of her solo music.

Remo Drive Announce Natural, Everyday Extended Play & Release “Nearly Perfect”

Indie-rock band Remo Drive has announced Natural, Everyday Extended Play which features two brand new tracks and an alternative version of “Separate Beds” off the band’s latest release Natural, Everyday Degradation (May 2019). The new tracks (“Romeo” and “Nearly Perfect”) were originally intended for Natural, Everyday Degradation but the versions recorded in the studio did not fit the album’s final sequence. “These songs felt unfinished when we left the sessions so we decided to re-record them when we got home,” notes vocalist and guitarist Erik Paulson, “It was a blast to try our hands at self-producing after a couple of experiences in a studio setting!”
