Drifting In Silence Announces New Album Away On Labile Records October 25 2019
Away is the new album released by ambient veteran Drifting In Silence. The project’s signature pure tones and bold minimalism return with a shroud of mystery. Just when the environment seems familiar, the entire terrain shifts, revealing what has been hiding in plain sight. The album glows with maturity and gentle attention to sound design.
Away moves slowly but methodically, the smooth swells gradually climaxing in a sublime cascade of sine waves and delicate piano work. Each track is a meditation anchored by deliberate details; enormous, lush textures are balanced with bright electronica (“Breathe”) or soft, thrumming percussion (“Obscure”, “Darkwithin”). Away revels in its use of space and the massive territory allows for Drifting In Silence to photograph with a wide lens, stretching from melancholy to exaltation in its exploration of absence and the transformational effects of time.

Paradox, the latest full-length release from Eastern Canada’s Shades of Sorrow, is a dynamic, eclectic offering with elements of prog, punk, old-school metal and even a modernized power ballad. Lyrically, it tells a story of destruction, reconstruction and the general musings of a walking contradiction. The writing has been a true collaborative process and it shows in the flow and cohesion of the self-produced album. Taking three years to complete, Paradox is now ready to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting masses.
Left-field pop group ‘5K HD’ share video for new single ‘Crazy Talk’
Austrian experimental-pop group 5K HD share video for new single Crazy Talk, out August 21st. Crazy Talk is the latest single to be taken from new LP High Performer which is out on September 6th.
“As is the case with our new album, ‘Crazy Talk’ is a criticism of the fast-paced, capitalist world we live in. That’s where the ‘High Performer’ comes into play again. As if the performer is subject to a force of nature, captured in a daily grind, he continuously pushes himself to unachievable goals and is never satisfied by the results.”

Frontman Daniel Jeffery states ‘I feel like this is the album we always wanted to make but didn’t for one reason or another. Its been the most fun we’ve ever had writing and recording. We’re literally just letting the music do the talking and we’re along for the ride. Its a kind of no holds barred record. I’m pretty sure our fans are gonna love it too.’
Breaking out onto the British metal scene in late 2012 with the sole intention to develop a sound that’s completely their own – Sheffield (UK) born and bred outfit Inherit The Stars are an explosion of sound that flirts with the margins of many genres. The band quickly became recognised for their powerful metal-edged guitar riffs, adrenaline-filled synth lines and vocal attacks that explode in your eardrums before dragging listeners into huge melodic choruses.
One True Pairing aka Tom Fleming Unveils New Single “Dawn At The Factory” | Debut Self-Titled Album Out Sept 20th
Talking about the song, Tom says: “2019’s satanic mills – zero hours, suicide nets, universal credit, cheap labor. The blue-white glow of the factories out on the gyratory and the plastic clad office blocks of the town center. I wanted to strip the romance back and look at what makes this country run, what makes it tick. The factories are hungry and it’s you they want. I wanted it to sound like the open road but there’s just too much barbed wire around it. The same every night. You do what you have to do. Knackered synths and a Floyd rose. Hope you enjoy it, OTP 2019 x”
