Brooklyn glam-punks Plaid Dracula debut new single “Mean”

The track premiered on Pure Grain Audio where the band shared, “This was the first song we wrote for the new EP! We think everyone’s had at least one situation where someone you felt was a really close friend turned out to be perfectly happy to throw you under the bus when it suited them. This song is about everything that goes through your head in the split second you see a person like that at a party or a show with a bunch of your mutual friends, and it’s the first time you’ve been in a room with them since they showed you they weren’t the person you thought.”

Upcoming Release: Power Pop Outfit The Persian Leaps Release First Single Off Upcoming LP

“When I wrote “About Your Record,” I didn’t have anyone specific in mind. In retrospect, I think listeners can pull a story out of it. I picture a father talking to his teen- or college-aged child, reassuring them that he knows about their youthful transgressions but that it will all be OK. The mistakes might seem awful or unforgivable now, but they won’t matter in the end and will barely be remembered. Even better, I like the idea of an older person sitting down at a campfire with their younger self and saying the words from the song, telling them that they can just let go and forgive themselves. That’s the music video I’d make if I could.” -Drew Forsberg

Faux Ferocious announce 7-inch produced by Patrick Carney of the Black Keys + Release “Good Times Ahead”

These singles are the perfect follow up to Pretty Groovy as Faux Ferocious continues to evolve their motorik post-punk sound and walk the line between experimental and reachable. The songs have a natural flow and uncluttered lyrics where nothing hides behind walls of reverb and delay. Each part of the music is good enough to stand on its own, but the totality is bizarrely exceptional.

A FEARLESS MIND SHUTS OUT THE WORLD

Today, VALLEYS follows up their Tragic Hero Records debut with “Fearless Minds” which features Garrett Russell of Progessive Metalcore staple, Silent Planet. The song takes a stab at people’s willingness to believe everything they are told without question. It goes on to describe how society is groomed to be obedient and herded like sheep, looking to television and social media influencers for answers. The ultimate truth can only be found from within ourselves. As most know, Russell is a huge advocate for mental health in the metalcore community. This track spreads a message of self-awareness.
