Maya Beiser’s new solo album delugEON, is out this Friday August 30th on her brand new imprint Islandia Music Records and follows up to 2016’s TranceClassical, where collaborated with the likes of Michael Gordon, Imogen Heap, Glenn Kotche, Lou Reed, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, Mohammed Fairouz, and David T. Little. For delugEON, the album concept began with arctic icebergs and the dark rhythms created by the sound of their near-continuous melting. As she listened to these sounds, Maya imagined the layers of her singing cello, being permeated by the sounds of a vanishing natural world. It’s a timely treatise, really — elegiac but not hopeless.
Also featuring on Tove Lo’s forthcoming album ‘Sunshine Kitty’ set for release on September 20th the single follows the breakup anthem “Glad He’s Gone” and sits alongside a stellar array of collaborations from the likes of Doja Cat, Alma and none other than Kylie Minogue.
With loud grungy guitars, rap verses and huge epic choruses – all originating from a punk core – Comminor once again manage to step outside the box and create something special. Their new single L.A. I LUV IT! is about the ups and downs of being on tour – being bipolar and chronically depressed. It’s about the euphoria and those pitch black moments when you think you can’t go on, but your loved ones got your back.

A musician of great resilience and determination, Rubita presents a compelling swirl of conflict and desire in her latest single Let Me Know.
In the 3 years since the release of her warmly received Brutal yet Dulce Soap EP, Rubita returns with Let Me Know, a song born from torn relationships and informed by her hard work to date. Let Me Know was written in the heart of a student flat in Leith St, Dunedin, well known for its student population. Amongst disarming jangles and wistful harmonies, it describes the hesitant story of going back into a relationship with someone that broke their heart once before, and whether or not they have the strength to go through that again.
