Josh Newcom To Release Rock Album – Low End Of The Bottom On August 16th
Newcom shares, “When I was six years old, my older brother gave me Ozzy Osbourne‘s Blizzard Of Ozz on vinyl. After hours and hours studying the audio and visual, my life was never the same. A year later I was forcing my pops to teach me Randy Rhoads riffs on the guitar. I devoured everything Ozzy and Black Sabbath. Rock and Roll is my first love. The one genre I will always run back to at any random feeling in my life. I wrote, recorded and mixed this album in seven days.”
For Skope: Raiden & IRENE of Red Velvet release unique dance single “The Only”
“The Only” just has been released on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings. I believe that’s another unique single from the talented producer for which he teamed up with IRENE of one of the most popular K-Pop groups Red Velvet. “The Only” marks Raiden’s 10th release on the label and 2nd song with a K-Pop star. What makes “The Only” unique is the fact that it’s sung in Korean.
MAJRO and Summer Heart join forces on ‘Yeah Alright’
In a musical match of angelic design, MAJRO and Summer Heart deliver ‘Yeah Alright’ – a cruising track, bursting with the unshackled optimism of youth. The weighty rhythm section hooks the listener from the outset, driving the shimmering song forward with punch and fervour. Flavours of acoustic guitar inject the collaboration with the dreamy haze of golden hour as the woozy chant of background vocals becomes a rollicking motif that sends the listener back to the parties of their adolescence.
RVBY reveals Bend It Like Beckham-inspired music video for ‘Hanging On’
Reflecting the youthful, teenage love elements of the track, the visual is a nod to RVBY’s passion for football. For a while it was football, rather than music, that dominated RVBY’s field of vision. From joining the boys’ team in primary school she progressed through Bristol Academy then Somerset Academy, briefly going professional with a stint in Yeovil Town Ladies.

With his debut solo record as Joyero, Andy Stack of Wye Oak puts his own voice front and center. Written and recorded primarily in Marfa, Texas, during a transitional moment between records, cities, and relationships, Release the Dogs occupies its own liminal space between the natural and the man-made, between the structures we create to keep ourselves safe and the terrifying enormity that exists beyond them.
