Upcoming single from Getaway Dogs – “Only In Retrospect”
“Only In Retrospect” drenches the atmosphere with spacey psychedelic dreamsurf drifting into the moving hands of time. To convey the concept of time as a circle, or nonlinear, the single eases in with the hum of analog space delay, a shaker and cross-stick percussion that builds into a full kit before returning to the beginning in a full-circle daze. Ethereal, finger picked guitar and breathy vocals send the track to higher planes of thought and reflection. “Only In Retrospect” is the first single off the upcoming album, and is set for release on July 15.

THE BUZZING TOWERS release sonic rock debut ‘CHASING THE SUN’
It’s as if the clouds have parted to deliver ‘Chasing The Sun’, the scorching debut single from Brisbane’s The Buzzing Towers.
Their no-nonsense sound wastes little time before breaking the mundane, with lead guitarist Nelly Kumta’s searing riffs rivaling the best of ’90’s rock. Fierce drums and an anthemic chorus sustain the vigorous sonic rock punch, with each beat and chant carrying the gloom of the 9-5 grind further away.
Scott Collins (ATX) – New Music Video – “Something Different Here”.
Premiered by the Austin Chronicle last week, Collins’ latest music video is reminiscent of a vintage western. Marched through the grasslands at gunpoint, shovel shackled over his shoulder like a yoke. One thing his executioner forgot, though. When making someone dig their own grave, never let them pick their spot.
Catch Ten One Ten – Track: Rooftops
This song was born from raw circumstance. I made this track from the ground up, in my bedroom, with nothing more than a copy of Reason 10, and some first party plugins, a modest Seagull guitar, a $60 Amazonbasics Mic, and being patient with finding the right vocal talent online. Rooftops describes the impossible circumstances of escaping a catch 22 from an uncontrollable trauma, and what I wish I could say to people who either couldn’t hear it at the time or I no longer have the chance to say it to. It’s my hope this song brings awareness to others in similar circumstances.

Joya Mooi announces forthcoming album with new single ‘Old Suit’
Speaking about the concept of the track, Joya Mooi explains:
“This song is inspired by the short story The Suit (1963) by South African writer Can Themba. In which a man discovers that his wife is cheating on him. After he discovers her infidelity he makes her tread the suit – the man left behind- as if it was a person visiting their home. Needles to say to story doesn’t end well for them both. With this concept in mind I wanted to write about how power dynamics, revenge and self-destructiveness can manifest in a bad relationship.”
