Mixtape – The new Cloud 9+ album has arrived!
After the band’s previous albums – the 2015-released Supernova and the 2017-released The Next Step, Cloud 9+ released another album on Sunday.Mixtape will be introduced to the audience live on the 5th of July, at Budapest Park.
Mixtape has 10 tracks, half of which have been released previously and have conquered the Hungarian audience and music industry. The album – as suggested by its name – works its magic through different genres – from drum and bass to pop, rock and dubstep, spiced with Hungarian and English lyrics. The album contains unique collaborations with Hungarian bands and performers such as AWS (“Viszlát nyár”), Deego, Hősök, (“A Város Visszavár”), Járai Márk, Fura Csé (“Valaki Mondja El”) and Mc Fedora (“It’s Monday”).
French producer Michael Calfan drops carefree new single ‘Wild Game’
Parisian DJ and producer Michael Calfan has returned with feel good new single ‘Wild Game’, out on Friday 19th July via Warner Music.
Calfan’s second release of 2019, ‘Wild Game’ is an incredibly polished slice of dance-pop, fusing melodic tones to create this summer’s next dancefloor anthem. The track’s stripped-back beat allows the stunning vocals of British-Jamaican singer-songwriter Monique Lawz to take centre stage, with playful lyrics offering an invitation to “play a wild game”. The animated track comes after the viral success of ‘My Place’, which has amassed over 1 million Spotify streams since its April release.

San Francisco recording artist and singer-songwriter Kate Magdalena wrote Streets of Any Town in response to a conversation with a homeless man on Nashville’s honky-tonk street, Broadway. The song is this man’s story, but it is also the larger story of men and women across America living on the streets. The song asks the question: is it really okay in the USA to allow people to live on the street? The song also packs a religious punch with its refrain “the least of you”, recalling Jesus’ words from Matthew 25:45 — ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
