Following the release of “Make It Hot” featuring Brazilian superstar Anitta last week, Diplo’s Major Lazer today reveal the official video for the single, in partnership with Bacardi. The track unites Spanish-language vocals from Anitta with the group’s dancehall-inspired signature sound.

Experimental indie-pop artist KYOSi Releases Socio-Political EP with Premiere on Run The Trap
The three-track release is a blend of ethereal pop, folk, and nods to jazz. Negative Space takes listeners on a journey through grief and anger by exploring themes ranging from class politics, race and gender issues, to the coercion of capitalism. The EP serves as a political commentary on the current administration and the injustices being faced nationwide.
Today, Slothrust have released a double A-side with their dear friends and former tour-mates, Sons Of An Illustrious Father — comprised of Josh Aubin, Lilah Larson, and Ezra Miller. The bands covered each others’ songs for a split 7” whose proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project, who focus on suicide prevention within the LGBTQIA+ community.

In the premiere piece, AstroLogical detailed; “The title ‘Symbiosis’ refers to the spiritual interweaving of two beings and their mutual after-life that follows; this is pictured in the cover artwork drawn by Eva Liana from Cortes Island, B.C.. The creation of this track helped the rest of the EP come together, as I used the template of acoustic guitar, voice, and electric piano to inspire a few of the other songs.”

Chris just announced his sophomore EP Saudade, out July 17 on Little Italy / Believe, including previous singles “Heated Up”, “Yard Sale” and “Dice Out.” A self-taught musician with soaring natural falsetto and punk rock past, Chris previously put out an EP and singles including “Closer,” championed by Zane Lowe, etc all the while working 12-hour days at three jobs – tutoring, serving at an old age home and as in-home support for an elderly woman – to fund the project. His new EP Saudade is an untranslatable word that exists only in the Portuguese language, describing a melancholic nostalgia/longing for a moment that never actually occurred.

MAHALIA ANNOUNCES ‘LOVE & COMPROMISE’ TOUR
Breakout star Mahalia has unveiled the ‘Love & Compromise’ tour, which accompanies the announcement of her highly anticipated debut album ‘Love and Compromise’ due September 6th. The tour will see the songstress perform across Europe and North America. It begins in Detroit, MI on September 22nd, followed by a string of dates across America and Canada before heading back to the UK for some of her biggest shows to date, including a date at London’s prestigious Roundhouse on November 25th. The songstress will then head out to Europe for several dates, which include stops in Norway, France, Germany with more to be announced.

Sarah Jaffe Announces “This Is Better” P1 & P2 EPs w/ “Dark Energy” Video
Texas singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe has announced the release of her new companion EPs – This Is Better Part 1 & This Is Better Part 2 – due out July 19th via Kirtland Records. The songs across the two EPs came out of some intense writing sessions with producer and collaborator Aaron Kelley, who Jaffe first connected with to write music for films. The two clicked and started working on songs together. Over the weeks that followed Jaffe dug deep, writing songs that helped her deal with the emotions she was processing as a result of a recent heartbreak she was going through. Originally planning to shop these songs around, Jaffe decided she couldn’t part ways and wanted to record them for herself.
