OUT FRIDAY: Where We Sleep ‘Experiments in the Dark’ ft. members of The Fall, Echobelly, Curve, Blindness

London alt-pop project Where We Sleep presents the debut five-track EP ‘Experiments In The Dark’. The solo project of Beth Rettig, perhaps best known as vocalist of Blindness, this has been her main focal point since their dissolution.

“When Blindness ended – solely down to a change in my personal life – I didn’t know if I was going to write again. Where We Sleep is the result of discovering that you don’t know how not to make music,” says Beth Rettig.

WHY? New Video

Yoni Wolf has spent the last two decades traveling the remote sonic terrain where underground hip hop, avant-pop, and psych-rock meet. In that time, he’s cultivated a unique sound, and a unique position as one of contemporary music’s most distinctive voices.

Adrift: New LP, ‘Pure’, Streaming in Full

Madrid metal band Adrift is one of the most respected bands in the Spanish underground scene. Doomed in mood, the sound of Adrift is at once shaded, triumphant, apocalyptic, atmospheric and progressive; “majestic gloom”, if you will. Adrift will release its new LP, ‘Pure’, on May 31 via Temple of Torturous Records (Valborg, Ultar, Imperial Triumphant). The album is the long-awaited follow up to Adrift’s 2012 release, ‘Black Heart Bleeds Black’, a record described as “if Baroness, Neurosis or Mastodon went into the darker side of metal”.

Swedish Post-Rockers OH HIROSHIMA Reveal Album Details

Post- rockers Oh Hiroshima have been working four long years on their third studio album – four intense years that have been worth the wait as it blossomed into the band’s most epic record to date, “Oscillation”. In 2019 the Swedes still impress with an abstract guitar work, dreamlike vocals as well as a hint of Electronica, and this time around none other than Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna) delivered the final layer in shape of mastering duties. The seven new soundscapes receive their dynamics from soaring guitars and rather dense song structures: The result is an album like a beautiful fever dream that holds the listener enthralled for a long, long time.
