Gethen Jenkins Announces June Tour Dates
Rising country singer-songwriter Gethen Jenkins announces today that he will be hitting the road this June in support of his forthcoming debut album Western Gold due this summer via RED MUSIC/Five Music. The 15-date tour, which kicks off on June 1 at the OakHeart Country Music Festival and concludes on June 30 at The Wayfarer (Costa Mesa, CA), includes stops in major markets like Dallas, Kansas City, Nashville, and Chicago as well as several festivals across the country including the 42nd Annual Redwood Bike Run, HorseThief The Festival, and A Day In The Country.

Following up on her thriving first single “Dancing To You,” Lydia Halloway today revealed “Gold,” which features a shimmering mixture of Halloway’s layered, high octave vocals and bouncing beats produced by Dibs (Cheat Codes, Carley Rae Jepsen). Lydia Halloway’s story is one of persistance through some of her darker experiences fighting cancer. With surgeries threatening her ability to sing, the time she spent recovering was not wasted. The 20 year-old downloaded Ableton and after hundreds of dedicated hours, taught herself to produce. Newest single “Gold” and other tracks from her upcoming EP acknowledge the depth of the experience and lost time while still bringing an optimistic and unique pop style to her writing.

British singer-songwriter Leon Else makes quite the impression whatever he does. He’s already amassed 20 million streams for songs including ‘My Kind Of Love’ (which featured in the Netflix smash “13 Reasons Why.”) and ‘Cheap Hotel’, while his version of ‘Titanium’ was heralded by Sia as the “best yet.” He’s even been named as Best Dressed Man by GQ and appeared in the film ‘Nine’ alongside Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Dallas-based indie rock band, Air Review, are back with a new album, How We Got By, due out June 21, 2019. The Dallas Observer writes, “It’s been a while since we last heard from Air Review. In 2013, it was hard for local music fans to avoid the indie-rock crew, thanks to its addictive single “America’s Son” receiving frequent airplay on KXT 91.7, in addition to their regular performance schedule. Another tune from Low Wishes, “Young,” was also given all sorts of rightfully deserved love from glossy publications and NPR.”

The Rush Midnight (aka Russ Manning) composed track premiered via Cool Hunting where Boulevards (aka Jamil Rashad) detailed; “YADIG! is inspired by by the basics of funk. 1960s/1970s dance grooves from back in the day. I’ll watch blaxploitation movies and growing up my father used to play funk and blues records in the house. In the last couple of years, I’ve been going to dance parties where DJs are playing old 45s where you hear the dust and dirt. People just sweating and vibing. That’s the type of records we strive to make. Russell helped with the sound and rawness of the record.”

BANKS wrote the song with Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, HAIM), and worked with producers Hudson Mohawke (Kanye West, Drake) and BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Francis and the Lights) to realize her vision.
