In an unprecedented partnership between two powerhouse Universal Music Group labels, Spanish-Catalan phenomenon Bad Gyal has signed a worldwide exclusive recordings deal with both Interscope Records and Aftercluv (Universal Music Latin Entertainment’s global dance culture division).
One of the only artists of her generation to achieve an astoundingly high level of fame both in Spain and internationally, Bad Gyal is positioned atop the wave of tastemaking urban stars now taking over the Latin and global arena.
“Bad Gyal has already made massive inroads in the underground music scene in Spain, and we can’t wait to see how she connects here in the U.S.,” says Sam Riback, head of A&R for Interscope Geffen A&M. “When Matt Morris on my team first introduced me to Bad Gyal’s music I knew she was a force of nature, with a sound that really defies categorization.
