Big Bend’s primary songwriter is Nathan Phillips, an Ohio native. His mother–daughter of a twelve-tone composer–wrote music and sang in operas and musicals in Mansfield, OH, where Phillips grew up playing piano. Her voice is featured on Radish, Big Bend’s second release and first non-instrumental recording. Throughout the album, Phillips is both vocalist and keyboardist.

G-Eazy’s Partner Sues Bacardi for $100M

In a lawsuit filed today, Stillhouse LLC, where hip-hop artist G-Eazy acts as investing partner and Co-Creative Director, sued Bacardi Limited for $100 million for extortion, fraud and more.

The lawsuit alleges that Bacardi convinced Stillhouse’s CEO, Brad Beckerman, to provide inside access and control of Stillhouse through a series of false representations. The company also alleges G-Eazy is in mortal danger due to the financial malfeasance of Bacardi.

The company, which is currently worth in excess of $100M, will be forced to close business if Bacardi isn’t forced to cease, despite their fast growing success throughout the U.S.

Oliveri will rip out ‘Death Acoustic’ and Kyuss sets with local Aussie bands as well as randomly jumping in on bass with friends Svetlanas, known for their super high intensity live shows.

CROOKED COLOURS ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE HOLD ON OUT TODAY

Ahead of their highly anticipated second album Langata, electronic dance trio Crooked Colours have released another cut from the record, Hold On, out now. The simmering track follows previous hit singles I’ll Be There and Do It Like You, and is another piece of the enigmatic puzzle that is Langata. The trio, consisting of members Philip Slabber, Leon De Baughn and Liam Merrett-Park, have revealed that the album will be out on May 17, with preorders available now.
