Brad Armstrong Shares New Single “Carry Your Head High”

In the early days, there was a rock and roll band. It is a familiar story. Man meets Guitar, Man meets another Man with Bass Guitar, they meet Man with Drums, set out to change the face of rock and roll as it has existed these many years. Then there are ten or twelve years of many shows, many records, not many dollars. The face of rock and roll remains unchanged. It is a familiar story. In this incarnation of the Rock and Roll Story, the name of the band is 13ghosts. The name of the city is Birmingham, Alabama. The name of the Man is Brad Armstrong. There are other men, certainly, but they shall not be named. Not for bitterness. For love.

The Wild Reeds today shared a new video for “Lose My Mind,” the lead single from their latest album Cheers, released on March 8th via Dualtone Records to praise from NPR Music, BUST, UPROXX, American Songwriter, AllMusic, and more. Directed by songwriter Kinsey Lee’s longtime friend Michael Tyrone Delaney, the video offers an intimate glimpse into her world: “‘Lose My Mind’ is a song that I wrote years ago about friendship, family, and emotional support,” says Lee. “Our director Michael has been at birthday parties, family dinners, and at about every show that we have played in LA. When he gave me the rundown and asked to get my grandparents involved, I was stoked to see how his vision would pan out. I love my family, I love my friends, and my bandmates. It was so special to see Michael put us all in the same room and tie us into one video. Enjoy this crazy thing, you’ll see snippets of my childhood, my dance moves, and my friends dressed up like the beautiful freaks they are.”

AORATOS: Gods Without Name Full-Length From Searing Black Metal Project Led By Naas Alcameth

Gods Without Name is the first descent into the twisted depths of fresh creative entity, AORATOS. Spearheaded by Naas Alcameth known for his time in Akhlys, Bestia Arcana, and Nightbringer among others and described as a, “reflection of the eidola and egregore arisen from the liminal thresholds,” Gods Without Name probes deep into the darkness found beyond the boundaries of the profane and waking world of man. A maelstrom of mesmerizing and nightmarish tremolo riffs, relentless drumming, and the ever-tortured howls of Alcameth permeate this musical abyss serving accordingly as a piercing counterpoint to the undulating drone and dark ambient soundscapes found within. Cold atmospheres and malevolent whispers of ecstatic dread bookend these horrific hymnals to “forbidden plots, barren fields, and haunted abodes.” AORATOS’ Gods Without Name is true darkness given musical form in haunting, malefic black metal. Fans of Emperor, Nightbringer, Akhlys, Sinmara, and the like be forewarned.
