Oh Land Releases Dreamy New Single “Kiss In Songs” Out Now!

Featuring backing vocals by Devendra Banhart, “Kiss In Songs” is about forgetting the ways we are used to using language. It’s about finding ways to communicate on a more primal level. Of the single, Oh Land states, “I guess the whole reason I do music is that I express myself more clearly through melodies and singing, rather than through speaking. Calan Mai, the Australian folk-pop artist poised to make his mark on the world, has unveiled the video for his latest single, “Friend of a Friend.” Written during a trip to the US last year, Calan Mai wrote the song “about a break-up I hadn’t even had yet… It seemed honest to write about a future I could predict as sure as a sunrise. Now I’m living the lyrics I wrote a year ago.”

Bass Drum Of Death Announces Spring Headline Tour

Creating original music as Bass Drum of Death for over a decade, founder John Barrett started as a one-man-band playing guitar and bass drum by himself. This formula was incorporated on to the first official release, 2011’s GB City. Songs from that first album have been used in the movie Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, the successful video game MLB2K12 and the popular BBC show Waterloo Road. The self-titled 2013 release and 2014’s Rip This solidified Bass Drum of Death’s infectious punk-influenced, hard rock sound. The band’s music has been featured in national H&M ad campaigns as well as licensed by NASCAR. 2018 marks a return to form for Bass Drum of Death with the release of Just Business via RED MUSIC.

The track premiered via Impose Magazine where the band’s Andy Peña detailed, “‘Tidal Wave’ is a song about insecurity. Throughout my life as an artist I’ve always questioned what I put out there. Nothing I wrote ever felt ‘good enough’. It’s only in the stability of my relationships that I realized I can write about whatever I feel. My art is me, and my family, and friends. ‘Tidal Wave’ came about when I was having a rough patch writing. I was over thinking everything and just worrying about the most minute things.”
