Holy Golden shares new music video for “Seven of Diamonds”
Holy Golden is the multifaceted musical world of Leslie Schott and Andrew Valenti. The two met serendipitously during a lunar eclipse on the island of Martha’s Vineyard when Leslie decided to take a ferry to the island and happened upon the record store where Andrew was working. Andrew wrote down his band’s email address on a business card and gave it to Leslie, suggesting she come to a concert that night. She bought a few CDs and left, assuming she’d probably never see him again, but as the ferry back to the mainland was about to leave the harbor, she ran off the boat and found the concert. Traveling back and forth between Martha’s Vineyard and Los Angeles, the duo began crafting mythological mini-worlds into music, music videos, short films, and photo stories.
Van Bellman releases third single “All This Time” just in time for Valentine’s Day
If Sufjan Stevens was on a Beatles kick and stumbled upon a lost track from Beck’s Sea Change, it may sound like “All This Time,” a handful of broken romances distilled into one story. Boy wants girl, but plays it cool. She feels rejected and moves on. Boy comes crawling back, and she wants nothing to do with him. Rinse and repeat. The dogged heart defies the brain, again and again. After all this time I still spend all this time on you. It’s only fitting to release this yearning love song on Valentine’s Day.

Robinson’s rhythms. – Stephen Trageser, Nashville Scene.

LA Indie Pop Outfit BRETT Release “Tenenbaum”
LA-based Brett have released their new single ‘Tenenbaum’ off their forthcoming EP ‘Perfect Patterns,’ out April 5 via 10K Islands. The snarling guitars set the tone for the driving and melodic track, punctuated at the end by a Malkmus-inspired guitar solo. Lyrics proclaiming ‘You look like a whisper / You talk like a cherry bomb’ and ‘You tie a tourniquet / A walking hologram’ paint a present dystopia–a hypnotic fixation on the superficial, and a shattered collective psyche where we are continually disconnected from one another.
