Sarah Potenza’s “I Work For Me” is Today’s ‘Song You Need To Know’ On Rolling Stone

“Sarah Potenza’s songs may be universal anthems written with inclusivity in mind, but on the lead track off her upcoming album ‘Road to Rome’, she puts the spotlight squarely on herself. “I Work for Me” is a vibrant and danceable soul song brimming with confidence and boasting production that calls to mind the Mark Ronson vibe of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black.'”- Rolling Stone

Witherfall Release Cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down”

“During the final writing sessions of “A Prelude to Sorrow”, Joseph Michael and Jake Dreyer stumbled upon doing a darker version of “I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty. The song was recorded during the Prelude Sessions at Boogie Tracks Recording studio (featured in the music video) in Jake Dreyer’s hometown of Panama City, Florida. A few weeks after the record was finished Hurricane Michael, a category 5 and largest hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle in recorded history came and destroyed Panama City, Mexico Beach and Boogie Tracks Studios. Also destroyed was the dock that was home to many wine soaked writing sessions for both Nocturnes and Prelude. The dock can be seen during both “Ode To Despair” and “I Won’t Back Down” solo sections. The Before and After is a haunting reminder that nothing is permanent. We hope this song and video serve as a tribute to the Florida Panhandle and the perseverance of the people living there in rebuilding their communities,” states WITHERFALL about the release.

Steampunk-influenced Songwriter Elyssa Vulpes’ Hypnotic Persuasion

If you only listen to one steam punk-influenced professional hypnotherapist and singer-songwriter in 2019, make it Elyssa Vulpes! Having cured her own anxieties (including stage fright) through a combination of her day job as a hypnotherapist and through writing and performing music, she hopes to inspire others to release their “scorpion energy” – confronting their fears by essentially shedding this negative skin from themselves. Holding On, Letting Go is meditative yet motivational, with not only a classic singer-songwriter style but elements of neo-folk, indie-pop and Americana. Over the course of its 15 tracks the album takes you on a journey of discovery as well as showcasing a variety of musical hues from the sweet melodies of Summer Romance to the rocked up Do you Wanna Play to the positively punky Grow Up.
