Malibu Ken (Aesop Rock/TOBACCO) hit the “Corn Maze”

Malibu Ken, the duo comprised of verbose hip hop mainstay Aesop Rock and abstract-fidelity analog-synth experimenter TOBACCO (of Black Moth Super Rainbow), have shared a video for “Corn Maze,” an indelible anti-social anthem from their forthcoming self-titled album (due January 18th via Rhymesayers). The Rob Shaw-directed clip depicts Aesop in an insomniac daze where bizarre late night cartoons seem to become self-aware, which proves a sympathetic pairing with TOBACCO’s heady, distorted beats.

Besides the bagpipe, Ricardo Santos also plays rabel (similar to an archaic violin and descendend from the medieval rebec), tarota (a catalan wind instrument, that belongs to the Oboes family), adufe (a portuguese square drum), galician tambourine and vieiras (scallop shells).
