This song is about fear and the great role that it plays in our lives. I try not to let it rule over all the decisions in my life, but one day while I was surfing, a shark popped up near me. It’s not unlikely that you’ll see one in the water, but this 6ft shark started circling me for a full five minutes. I’ve never been so taken over by fear in my life. That incident kind of sparked the creation of “UH OH”.

In September 2017 the State Music Council of North Rhine-Westphalia awarded its SilverTuning Fork to MARKUS STOCKHAUSEN (its golden counterpart went to a completely different genre). The award provided an occasion for a concert with Stockhausen’s reconstituted band ETERNAL VOYAGE, which was kindly recorded by West German Radio 3 Jazzredaktion in Düsseldorf.
Recorded by Knopfler at British Grove—his West London studio—Down The Road Wherever features 14 new songs inspired by a wide range of subjects, including Knopfler’s early days in Deptford with Dire Straits, a stray soccer fan lost in a strange town, the compulsion of a musician hitching home through the snow and a man out of time in his local greasy spoon diner.

“When I was maybe 14, my brother’s friend showed me some chords on guitar. I picked it up enough to learn a few songs. That became my hobby to wind down and relax, when I needed a break from the competitive environment of sports,” says Masi about his start in music. “When I got to college, I connected with music majors on campus and we started bands. One of those bands became regular at a local pub and we were able to get in the swing of writing, practicing, and gigging. At that point I was hooked and haven’t looked back since.”

Taylor Grey Premieres New EP ‘GREY’
The gears have been in constant motion for the studious recording artist, Taylor Grey, who has just released her new EP, GREY, Friday, November 16th, 2018. Today Puerto Rican-born, Dominican-raised, Portland-based multi-instrumentalist Pierre Carbuccia announces his debut EP Niño, under the moniker Juraćan. We’ve partnered with High Clouds to bring you “Moraleja,” the first look at a new single from the upcoming EP, due out December 7th, 2018. After testing his hand in multiple bands, Carbuccia found an interest in ambient experimentalism and crafted his own brand of ethereal music based on the bolero and merengue music of his youth. He calls this new project, Juraćan, a name derived from the ancient Taínos culture that inhabited both islands and they used it to represent the god of evil – eventually evolving into the Spanish word for “hurricane.”
