Redlight drops official video for ‘Get Wavey’

Dynamic DJ and producer, Redlight, has delivered the official music video for his fresh single, ‘Get Wavey’, a vibrant dancefloor production taken from his eagerly anticipated new 10-track album, ‘ACTIVE’, which is set for release on Friday 26th October.

Tales of America, due February 1 on Verve Forecast, is an examination of the American Dream from an outsider’s perspective; an introspection on a universal matter. The completely acoustic album was produced by Grammy-nominated Mike Viola (Ryan Adams, Jenny Lewis) and recorded at Boulevard Recording and East West Studios in Los Angeles. All lyrics were written by Ondara and the album features collaborations with artists including Andrew Bird, Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes and Joey Ryan of The Milk Carton Kids.

LA band The Tracks share new song + announce debut album + LA shows in November

LA rock band The Tracks announce their debut album “Treasured Memories” is slated for release on November 2. Today, they share the roaring new single “Strange Moments”, which embodies a sound that’s the result of youth who grew up listening to Michael Jackson, The Strokes and Vicente Fernandez as children of undocumented immigrants in East LA. They never saw themselves represented in indie rock and have now garnered large praise and recognition for creating that representation through their music. The album is produced by Lewis Pesacov, co-founder of the duo Fool’s Gold and who has produced albums for Best Coast and FIDLAR. The artwork was designed by Vlad Sepetov who also contributed to Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN and To Pimp A Butterfly album artwork.

Jonathan Franco shares second track “Transition Lens” off his upcoming album, announces Detroit shows

Detroit-based musician, Jonathan Franco spent four years writing and recording his debut solo album, Swimming Alone Around the Room. Starting essentially from scratch after discarding his previous recordings, each song was meticulously arranged through obsessive experimentation with manipulating sounds and instruments, as well as gathering field recordings around Detroit and New York. Franco pulls inspiration from indie rock forbearers like Mount Eerie, The Silver Jews, Yo La Tengo, Bedhead, and Sparklehorse and mixes it with influences from composers and sound artists like Haruomi Hosono, Elaine Radigue, Jim O’Rourke, and Yoshi Wada. Much of Swimming Alone Around the Room also resulted from the influence of film, with Franco citing directors Shane Carruth and Yorgos Lanthimos as having made an impact.
