When Miles played the opening riff, the rest of the song wrote itself really, and it fell into place quite naturally. This song set the precedent for the record, stylistically. Wet Ashes Release “Disowned” From Upcoming Album

“Disowned” is the 2nd single from the new Wet Ashes’ album, “The Main Mane.” This song was originally written by the bassist of the band, Yuri Gonzalez and you can hear the influence of New Order’s Peter Hook. The song has also an interesting layer of guitars and energetic drums. Angel Soto’s lyrics have a dark tone and introspective message which together with female backing vocals make it somehow very danceable. The song was written during a winter in Chicago and therefore you can feel an urban decadent vibe but again Wet Ashes introduces a glimmer of hope here and there during the development of the song.
