Interscope Records’ Artists Occupy Three Spots In Top 5 On This Week’s Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Interscope Records recording artists occupy the three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, in addition to the Top 20.

Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” featuring Cardi B, has climbed to No. 1 with 17 weeks on the chart. It is the third single off the band’s sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues, which was recently certified platinum by the RIAA.

Eminem’s “Killshot,” the song that was released two weeks following his ninth studio album, Kamikaze, debuts at No. 3. Eminem’s Kamikaze debuted 11 songs on the Hot 100 in the album’s first week of release, including “Lucky You,” featuring Joyner Lucas, which is at No. 13 this week. The album marked his ninth consecutive #1 album.

Urban-jazz guitarist dee Brown commits to his muse on “I Want You Too”

Capturing the intoxicating love and joy he experienced after getting engaged, dee Brown exuberantly picks and scats the next chapter in his intimate musical scrapbook assembled for his late fiancée. Going for radio adds next Monday (October 1), Brown and keyboardist Valdez Brantley wrote and produced “I Want You Too,” the third single from the urban-jazz guitarist’s “Remembering You” album.

Ceiling Spirits Debut Single Produced by Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Mogwai)

Ceiling Spirits, a wide screen, drivingly ambient post-rock work founded by guitarist Mario Quadracci will have its eponymous debut release digitally on November 9. Milwaukee-based Quadracci enlisted the production talents of iconic producer Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Wire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), who was eager to work with him upon discovery of his instrumental compositions performed live with striking visuals online. With Jones on board, the two embarked on an elongated journey of recording to bring to fruition and cohesion the many musical ideas conceived by Quadracci. The process took them to three different countries over the course of two years, with a final stop at Abbey Road Studios for the finishing touches and mastering. The string section consists of 21 of Ireland’s best classical musicians hand-picked from its premiere symphony orchestras.

A first single, “Surfacing (Depth Emerge Lifted),” will be released digitally on September 21.

A musical force to be reckoned with, Samsaruh has shared the gripping new music video for her powerful new single ‘Speaking Fire’. Building on the success of her debut releases, Samsaruh’s ‘Speaking Fire’ showcases her commanding vocals with a base of striking guitars, lyrically touching on the madness of the world around us. The video shot locally in Melbourne with LP Creative, was directed by up and coming female director Pernell Marsden. The video sees Samsaruh depict different world ending characters, holding up the mirror to what is happening in the world at the moment.

Col3trane Releases New Video for ‘Tyler’, Sold Out Show at Village Underground in Oct

Today sees 19-year-old vocalist, musician and rapper Col3trane share the brand new video for ‘Tyler’. Directed by Felix Brady, who also directed Cole’s innovative video for ‘Language’, ‘Tyler’ is the latest in a long series of visually-arresting visuals from Cole. Shot in one continuous take with a special one of a kind camera and motion control rig, the video finds Cole appearing in a series of split-personalities in a nod to the song’s title. ‘Tyler’ is the third track to be taken from Col3trane’s recent critically-acclaimed ‘BOOT’ mixtape, released via TaP Records/Geffen Records, and follows the previously unveiled Oscar Hudson-helmed double video for ‘Fear & Loathing’ & ‘Britney’. Highly revered producer, DJ and label owner Alan Fitzpatrick, will be bringing his acclaimed We Are The Brave House Party tour back for a run of UK dates in the first week of October. Following his Northern takeover last year, Alan will be tackling the South this year with stop offs scheduled for Bristol (3rd Oct), Brighton (4th Oct) and Fitzpatrick’s hometown of Southampton (5th Oct), where Alan also be hosting a We Are The Brave showcase in the cities newly opened club, Rebel.
