Roosevelt offers epic, synth heavy album closer ‘Getaway’

Marius Lauber AKA Roosevelt’s ambitious and breathtakingly modern follow-up to his self-titled debut is out next month. Young Romance sees the German artist breaking free from the dance floor and stepping out into the light, effortlessly bridging that gap and asserting his place in the upper echelons of guitar and synth-pop royalty. Now less reliant on a four-to-the-floor kick drum as a rhythmic backbone, this sophomore record sees him embrace grooves of all shapes and sizes, as demonstrated on first single ‘Under the Sun,’ and most recent offering ‘Forgive,’ which featured the inimitable vocals of Ernest Green of Washed Out.

Kill All The Gentlemen are a 4 piece metal band hailing from the shire of Devon in the South West of England. Their name derived from a fatal battle that happened in a hamlet know as Fenny Bridges in 1549 during the Prayer Book Rebellion. The band have made waves in the UK with there furious live shows witnessed at events such as Bloodstock and Mammothfest. The band have also embarked on an Eastern European tour with Napalm Death further showing their diversity winning over metal audiences abroad.

FERGUS releases new single ‘Willow’ (REL: 06.09.18)

Speaking about the single, FERGUS said: “This one started out as a poem set to music really – a lullaby, after close friends had a baby girl called Willow! I wanted to paint a beautiful, peaceful image lyrically, inspired by this new life, a new beginning, and voyage into the unknown. The message is, that fundamentally, everything is going to be ok – “don’t weep for me, Willow”. It’s as much a message to me, as it is to her and makes an uplifting (and welcome!) contrast to the first two songs.

Age.Sex.Location – “Voodoo” Video Out Now

Age.Sex.Location (ASL) have shared the visual for their lead single, “Voodoo,” from their debut EP, ASL 1 – Beach House. The collage and animation-based video, created by Brazilian visual artist Caco Neves, features UFOs flying over nuclear explosions and into voodoo processions amidst ancient Greek ruins misplaced at Venice Beach.

Martha Scanlan (Americana, indie-folk) releasing new album in October

Montana-based Americana/folk singer-songwriter Martha Scanlan is set to release her fourth album, The River and The Light, on October 19, 2018 via Rock Ridge Music. Full of moments of profound intimacy and belonging, the album hosts some of the finest writing yet from the award-winning Scanlan. Produced by her longtime musical collaborator, Jon Neufeld, and recorded at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, Oregon (where Scanlan recorded her third album), The River and The Light is a journey: there is a sense of aliveness and wonder throughout each song and throughout the album, a sense of anticipation of what awaits around the next bend. Gold Star Shares Video for “Get It Together (C’mon)”

Gold Star (aka Austria-born and LA-based Marlon Rabenreither) today debuted a video for “Get It Together (C’mon)” off his new LP Uppers & Downers, which will be released worldwide tomorrow via Autumn Tone Records. The 405 premiered the Gilbert Trejo-directed video in the UK, saying “the retro video, chock full of good times, perfectly couples with [the] openhearted song.”

The Molochs Share New LP On Hype Machine

The Molochs have shared their new LP Flowers In The Spring on Hype Machine. Prior to this LP stream, Brooklyn Vegan shared the single “Too Lost In Love”, The Line Of Best Fit shared the first single “I Wanna Say To You” and CLASH shared the video for the latter. The Molochs will release their new LP, the follow up to 2017’s America’s Velvet Glory, on 9/7 via Innovative Leisure. The band will also be playing a free record release show this Friday at Lodge Room in L.A.
