Kingsbury Shares “Blurry Now” Track Via BlackBook | New Single Out Now
BlackBook has shared Kingsbury’s latest single “Blurry Now”. When talking about the track Kingsbury says, “Blurry Now is a rumination on a toxic relationship I had. I gave up my power in so many situations and let it effect me for a year. I wasn’t strong enough to realize what was happening. I didn’t trust myself and how I felt about the situation for so long. I would continually question my feelings and make myself feel crazy. “But you could be so nice. I gave you what you wanted” + “all I know is how I feel but I can be so deceiving.” I feel like the last two songs I’ve released have been all about moving on but this song is the antitheses to those. I wrote this song directly after I wrote my last single All Gone. I was in a really weird up and down period of my life and these two singles represent that.”

The video, shot by 19 year old Amory Flint Wood, is a sunny juxtaposition of the darker lyrics and the dreamy pay off chorus. Music Video: Surreal’s “Do Better” is a call to elevate & do better
Do Better the new single/video by Surreal is a cosmic call for ascension and elevation. In a world rife with unconscious consumerism he’s radiating the need for awareness through frequency and intention. With media becoming more and more homogenized this song is a reverse hypnosis to break the mold and get the listener into the universal flow of understanding and love.
“Words sometimes fail” says the multidimensional artist. He made the track, wrote the verses and even created the visual that will drop in a few weeks so only having a handful of words over the music was very intentional. “The audience is way smarter than we give them credit for, especially the younger generation. Your vibrations speak louder than your words.” Calling us to Do Better, and find a better way doesn’t need specificity because we all know what we need to do.
It’s a vibe.

Collecting 14 story-driven and deeply textured cloud R&B jams, Always Never stands within and apart from the busy Toronto urban music scene, setting itself apart from the crowd with delicate and nuanced vocal performances from singer Patrick Kirschner over bass-heavy, yet somehow light-as-a-feather productions from Dean Guilbault, influenced in equal measure by PartyNextDoor, 6lack, and Metallica. The follow-up to 2017’s Call Me Over EP, the new album boasts previously released tracks such as the viral hit “Wylin’,” which has over 5 million combined streams, and the recent “Dangerous,” which has over 200k combined plays since its release in July, as well as popular singles “Millions,” “No Good,” and “Morgan Freeman.”
“Full of funky xylophone-esque percussion, spacy synths and an airy, yet strong singing voice; “Bad Kids,” is a fun and clear message of rebellion that you can sink your teeth into and then dance like a maniac. Despite the long, hot season winding down, it’s the perfect summer jam that will travel far into fall and beyond due to the quality of the actual music and unruly spirit.” (Pancakes and Whiskey)

Grandmilly, a Long Island based rapper formerly of RVIDXR KLVN (aka Raider Klan), has been putting out quality projects since 2012– most notably an EP with Bones and a 2015 LP with SageInfinite. Shozae, a producer who is part of Long Island’s Midnite Society, has been a close collaborator of Grandmilly for years.
The new album’s title, ‘Adventureland’ is a nod to a beloved Long Island amusement park as well as the various hip-hop vibes found throughout the LP. Says Shozae, “Every song takes you on a different ride and we take a lot a pride in coming from Long Island. We decided to roll with those two ideas, so it’s us taking you on an adventure through the land we are from.”

It’s not about chasing trends, or chucking in today’s go-to sonic signifier for the sake of it, this is minimalistic, organic pop that feels truly universal.

Inspired & the Sleep – ‘Right Place, Right Time’
“Right Place, Right Time is our anthem for forgiveness and heartbreak. It recollects a period in my life where I was deeply in love with an individual that, simply put, didn’t feel the same way about me. I spent so much time, energy, and thoughts into resenting this girl and whoever she wound up with. This song is about the introspective dialog of predicting/hoping for the perfect time and place to communicate my apologies and best wishes. Letting go is ultimately the only answer in order to move on.” – Inspired
Personalized recommendations, sponsored playlists, and the dominance of streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music have changed the experience of music discovery for all of us. Whereas magazines, zines, radio, and something called MTV once offered diverse avenues of exploration for music fans, followed by the heyday of music blogs and music piracy websites like Napster, the algorithm now looms over everyone. There is considerable reason to worry about what that means for up-and-coming artists without major label connections, as well as the landscape of popular music as a whole.
