Kingsbury Shares “Blurry Now” Track Via BlackBook | New Single Out Now

BlackBook has shared Kingsbury’s latest single “Blurry Now”. When talking about the track Kingsbury says, “Blurry Now is a rumination on a toxic relationship I had. I gave up my power in so many situations and let it effect me for a year. I wasn’t strong enough to realize what was happening. I didn’t trust myself and how I felt about the situation for so long. I would continually question my feelings and make myself feel crazy. “But you could be so nice. I gave you what you wanted” + “all I know is how I feel but I can be so deceiving.” I feel like the last two songs I’ve released have been all about moving on but this song is the antitheses to those. I wrote this song directly after I wrote my last single All Gone. I was in a really weird up and down period of my life and these two singles represent that.”

Music Video: Surreal’s “Do Better” is a call to elevate & do better

Do Better the new single/video by Surreal is a cosmic call for ascension and elevation. In a world rife with unconscious consumerism he’s radiating the need for awareness through frequency and intention. With media becoming more and more homogenized this song is a reverse hypnosis to break the mold and get the listener into the universal flow of understanding and love.

“Words sometimes fail” says the multidimensional artist. He made the track, wrote the verses and even created the visual that will drop in a few weeks so only having a handful of words over the music was very intentional. “The audience is way smarter than we give them credit for, especially the younger generation. Your vibrations speak louder than your words.” Calling us to Do Better, and find a better way doesn’t need specificity because we all know what we need to do.

It’s a vibe.

Inspired & the Sleep – ‘Right Place, Right Time’

“Right Place, Right Time is our anthem for forgiveness and heartbreak. It recollects a period in my life where I was deeply in love with an individual that, simply put, didn’t feel the same way about me. I spent so much time, energy, and thoughts into resenting this girl and whoever she wound up with. This song is about the introspective dialog of predicting/hoping for the perfect time and place to communicate my apologies and best wishes. Letting go is ultimately the only answer in order to move on.” – Inspired

Finding New Music in the Algorithm Age

Personalized recommendations, sponsored playlists, and the dominance of streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music have changed the experience of music discovery for all of us. Whereas magazines, zines, radio, and something called MTV once offered diverse avenues of exploration for music fans, followed by the heyday of music blogs and music piracy websites like Napster, the algorithm now looms over everyone. There is considerable reason to worry about what that means for up-and-coming artists without major label connections, as well as the landscape of popular music as a whole.
