Only Bricks release new single, “Ordinary”
L.A. based pop duo Only Bricks have returned with a sparkling new single, “Ordinary.” The track, which follows only a few months since the duo dropped their critically acclaimed debut EP “Foundation,” features a trademark hooky chorus, big enough to catch the attention of teen/pop destination, Teen Music Insider, who had the exclusive. “Ordinary” sees itself as another groove-laden, sugary dose of Summer pop that Only Bricks are quickly becoming recognized for.
A collaboration between Greg Aram and longtime friend Daddy Ramazani, the video subversively showcases motifs associated with outdated concepts of American masculinity, reinforcing the single’s call to disregard those toxic ideals in favor of emotional intelligence and maturity. His crew runs deep with models Christian Dion and Levi Berlin, NYC rappers Ro Ransom and Orrin and NYC skateboarder Chris Hell as they go from wearing bullet-proof vests to glitter eye shadow in the span of a quintessential summer day. The music video follows Greg’s spring single, “Lazy Bone”, and 2016’s Peach EP, which has garnered over 700k Soundcloud streams.
Seattle duo NAVVI share a new single “Us” via The 405 who says “on the group’s new LP, ULTRA, NAVVI found themselves coalescing around a singular word — “ultra.” With the power and grace that word invokes fueling their songwriting, the duo put together their most impressive collection to date, including the new single ‘Us.”

Alpines announce third album Full Bloom & stream new single Out of View

The Parents Television Council is calling on Viacom to rate the MTV VMAs for Mature Audiences only, and not for young viewers, if the network cannot guarantee that the broadcast will be free of graphic content. The PTC is basing this call on previous history of this routinely explicit awards show. The program will air on August 20, 2018.
“Every year, Viacom markets sexually-charged, pro-illegal drug, and profane content to children, and claims they ‘couldn’t have known’ to expect explicit content from its live broadcast. Viacom needs to take this standard excuse off the table right now, and rate the MTV VMAs for Mature Audiences – assuming from the outset that the content will be similarly graphic to what has routinely aired in recent years,” said PTC President Tim Winter.
“TV content ratings either mean something or they don’t. It’s laughable that Viacom continues to rate the VMAs TV-14 given the adult content that habitually airs on the show. At what point do you stop being surprised when the same thing happens every single year?
