Colyn Cameron (Wake Owl) Announces Debut Solo Album Out 10/12

Having releasing two albums on Vagrant Records and one independently as the acclaimed indie-pop outfit Wake Owl, singer-songwriter Colyn Cameron returns with his debut solo album Sad & Easy set for release on October 12th. Self-produced and recorded direct to 1/2″ tape in his small Los Angeles studio apartment, the album is an outpour of his artistic experimentation, fusing psychedelic influences of the late ’60s and calling to mind the likes of David Vandervelde and Christopher Owens.

Everyone goes through different phases growing up, trying to figure themselves out, and mine could easily be categorized as boring. I was lazy and dull with awful taste in music. Now, I’m in a band with my friends touring the country, playing the music that I love – as a job! That’s the opposite of boring to me. Denver, Colorado-based THE MUNSENS will hit the road to perform at Psycho Las Vegas in the coming days. In conjunction with the festivities, the band has issued a single, “Dirge (For Those to Come),” which is pulled from their recently-completed new LP, Unhanded, which will see release this Fall.

THE MUNSENS make noise from a Colfax Avenue dungeon. Having carved out a place of their own in the much-lauded Denver metal scene, the band’s debut full-length comes on the heels of a productive summer that included appearances at 71Grind IV, Austin Terror Fest, and Electric Funeral.
