Following twenty albums over 50 years, Yoko Ono’s Warzone is strikingly different from any record she has made previously, but it is also strikingly different from any album that anyone is making…
Yoko revisits and reimagines 13 songs from her past work, spanning 1970-2009, the lyrics and messages still pertinent—perhaps even more pertinent—in 2018. “The world is so messed up. Things are very difficult for everybody. It’s a warzone that we are living in…” says Ono. “I like to create things in a new way. Every day things change.”
CALL ME KING Release Official Music Video for “Broken Machines”
Austin, TX based Alternative / Post-Hardcore band CALL ME KING has released their official music video for the single “Broken Machines,” off of their August 4th released, sophomore albume, The Writer and the Written.
It’s never been easy to tie No Kind of Rider to a single city or region, given their formation as teenagers in Tulsa, subsequent move to Portland, and the recent relocation of drummer Jon Van Patten to Brooklyn. But with the completion of their first full-length, Savage Coast, NKOR’s many influences merge to form a unique statement on devotion, commitment, grief, and hope. Today the band share their video (directed by Parker Hill) for “Autumn” with Booooooom TV. You can watch on YouTube.
KINGCROW Releases “Night’s Descending” Single Featuring Daniel Gildenlow From Pain Of Salvation
Offers KINGCROW’s DiegoCafolla with the new single, “‘Night’s Descending’ holds a special place in my heart for personal reasons and I love the sense of drama that permeates the song. As soon as I wrote the vocal melody I thought that it sounded perfect for the voice of Daniel Gildenlow from Pain Of Salvation. I talked with our singer Diego Marchesi about the idea and when he heard the song he totally agreed with me, so I contacted Daniel telling him I wrote a song that I thought it was perfect for his singing. Luckily Daniel liked the song quite a bit and told me he was going to making it. When we heard Daniel singing on ‘Night’s Descending’ for the first time I was impressed by his incredibly emotional performance and I thought we definitely made right choice.”
