Originally from Guwahati, India but currently based in Los Angeles, CA guitarist Bhargav Choudhury aka BARGAV is set to release his debut EP “New Beginnings” on August 17. On this self-produced 3-song set you will find a timeless blast of powerful, yet innovative genre-bending rock. Also, lending their talents to the EP are Jungshi Aier on bass/vocals and Ryo Nakamura on drums, mix and mastered by Ricky Bonanza. @skopemag: What is the most current project that you are working on at the moment?
I have been working on my solo EP “New Beginnings “ which will be released on August 17. Also I am always working on my knowledge in music.
@skopemag: When you began your journey in music were your family/friends supportive?
When I was 14 years old. At the very beginning it was more like a hobby to me but then slowly I wanted to make it as my carrier. At the being my family was not sure, about me doing music but as I became a better musician they started supporting me, specially my dad.
@skopemag: What is it about music that you knew this was more important than all other artistic endeavors?
The feel and the connection that you have towards your own music, you listen to or come across.
@skopemag: Would you say that your family/friends support your music journey?
Yes they did. I feel lucky about it.
@skopemag: What other bands/artists do you respect & inspire you?
Iron Maiden , Led Zeppelin , Steve Wonder , BB king etc.
@skopemag: When you are not doing music what else do you enjoy?
I like to go to the gym , like to go to a bar and have good times with my friends , also like to play video games and like to eat and travel.
@skopemag: What kind of environment & mood do you feel most creative towards your music?
When I am by myself in my home studio. Also I work best when I am not tired or sleepy.
@skopemag: When are you most inspired to create music?
When I see my idol musicians and when I am by myself.
@skopemag: What is coming up for you & where you @ online?
I will be releasing my debut solo EP on August 17 2018, in all the streaming platforms and also releasing a music video for my instrumental song “Chromatic” from my EP “New Beginnings”.
