New music: Starling releases ‘The Soul’ EP today
Speaking about the EP Starling explains,”‘The Soul’ marks the truth exploding out of me – power, fragility, change – I’m growing up and I’m braver than before. I’m not bound by my fear or my broken heart so much. I would almost say it’s sugary which is saying something as my previous two EP’s have been dark as. I’ve evolved and so has the story, the sound.”
JUSTICE RELEASE SINGLE
Today, French electronic music icons Justice have shared the blistering “‘D.A.N.C.E.’ x ‘Fire’ x ‘Safe and Sound'” single, taken from their forthcoming Woman Worldwide album. The album is a result of Xavier and Gaspard adapting their songs to be played on tour, in the process discovering new dimensions in their live forms. After one year of testing, performing, refining and recording them on the road, they went back to the studio in Paris to give them the polish and precision that live performance doesn’t always allow. Woman Worldwide is now available for pre-order and set for release on August 24 via Ed Banger Records / Because Music on all digital providers, along with gold embossed double CD and triple vinyl + 2CD editions.
single: MRE, “CURVES”
When asked about the inspiration behind the new track, MrE said, “I’ve made a bunch of freaky rhymes, inspired by my sexy wife, and made them part of my audio blog on my website. ‘Curves’ is the first full length freaky song I’ve written and put out. Anyone who enjoys ‘Baby Got Back” by Sir-Mix-A-Lot should appreciate this. They’ll immediately notice the influence as soon as the song starts. It’s a song for only the grown and sexy who aren’t ashamed of their freakiness. Also, I’m one of the very few people in this world who considers women of all body types sexy, not just the model types. No matter your figure, you still got curves.”
