Brazil’s Das Kope shares debut single, “Ready For The Summer”
Brazilian producer and visual artist Das Kope, premieres his debut track ‘Ready For The Summer’ on June 22nd 2018. Sonically it blends raw guitars and detuned synths into a lofi experience, imagine the Beach Boys stuck in a Black Mirror episode. The lyrics are about being trapped in California. Das Kope says it also applies to the current state of the world, ’It feels like summer hasn’t arrived for a few years’ he adds.
Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Dan Sadin is excited to announce the release of his debut solo self-titled EP. Best known for being the guitarist in electropop band FRENSHIP, his debut solo EP is raw, honest and filled with tender, heart-swelling lyrics.
In addition to working with FRENSHIP regularly, he has co-written and played on tracks with artists including Sabrina Claudio, Jessie Ware, Frenship, MØ and more. As a guitarist, producer and songwriter, Sadin felt it was important to explore his vulnerability and dug deep into his rock roots for this project, having grown up listening to artists like Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen. His songs are an honest exploration of where the music we currently listen to comes from and an original take on where it can go. In fact, Sadin does what very few artists are willing to do: disregard current music trends in an effort to stay true to his roots and openly connect with his most important musical inspirations.
Ian Ruhala is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Detroit, Michigan. He started his project, Hala, in 2014, as a junior in high school. Back then, he was intrigued by the idea of recording at home, because the task itself seemed like a stand-alone artform. In 2016, he put out his first, full-length album Spoonfed. He recorded the whole album in an attic in Detroit, which he was living in at the time. Outside of the tiny window in his “room,” he could see the Motown Museum from his side of the street. “That was always an influencing view, and I think it inspired me to try to recreate something Motown-esque in my vocal recordings.”

Premiered yesterday (June 21) on Insomniac.com, Sam Yu says of the track: “[CAZZETTE and Parson James] make a good team. James is vulnerable yet confident about his romantic attachments, as he wears his heart on his sleeve during his love-stricken crooning. Björklund carries his voice delicately across an infectious groove, consisting of tender chord stabs, mild-tempered basslines, and a shuffling rhythm that will make you want to call up your current crush and confess your soul.”

New Orleans-based Grosser shares the lead single “On Go” off his debut LP C, due out August 10, 2018. Grosser spoke to Highsnobiety about the track saying, “When I am stuck in a low place, I find myself writing music that fits the mood of the moment. Although that can be therapeutic, it can also keep me in that same low place. ‘On Go’ is the song for drastically altering and improving that state.” This track is a cinematic introduction to what can be expected from the forthcoming LP.
In addition to the signing, we are also very excited to reveal the band’s latest music video for the new “Left Behind” single. The track features guest vocalist Başer Çelebi of Furtherial.
