LORDS OF SEALAND previews new album with single ‘ORGAN TRAIL’

Lords of Sealand is thrilled to announce the release of the “Organ Trail,” the first single from their forthcoming debut concept album Zs. “Organ Trail” will be available for streaming and download May 24.

The song is a serpentine and uneasy exploration of a child’s recurring dream that foretells the cyclical and cynical nature of life to come. Angular guitars, winding bass, propulsive drums and plaintive vocals combine under the production of Chris Sugiura of DONCAT to uniquely capture both the dread of inevitability and triumph over fear.

Uma E. Fernqvist delivers inspirations from her career

Speaking on the EP, Uma stated: “The songs on “Reverse” have grown out of thoughts about finding back to something in oneself, in relation to how one get affected by “life”… about waiting for one self, finding back to something lost. But I want the texts to be open for interpretation, the lyrics have double, triple meaning … To me, they even have change meaning during the time spent completing the Ep’n.

Both me and the songwriter and producer Peter Svenzon were inspired by the 90’s Trip hop and groups such as Massive Attack and Portishead. We investigated and experimented for a long time to find the right sound, and found that the textures were very important and that we wanted a cinematic feel that is especially noted in intron and outron at Ep’n. In the search for the right sound, we also contacted the multiple Grammys winner Mandy Parnell at Black Saloon Studios in London for mastering the songs.”

‘Reverse’ was produced and mixed alongside Peter Svenzon at Nåck Studios Music, and mastered by Mandy Parnell at the Black Saloon Studio.

The provocative and seductive new video, entitled “The Host”, quickly spread, mostly through word-of-mouth and shares within metal groups, garnering over 25,000 organic plays on Facebook within the first few hours.

Soon thereafter, Facebook’s censors prevented VINTERSEA from advertising their new music video on the grounds of sensuality and partial nudity on the part of frontwoman Avienne. We feel that VINTERSEA is a great fit for your website, and clearly this new video is turning a lot of heads! We look forward to working with you to create a win-win for our organizations.
